Beatdown fists of vengance: was it considered a competitive game?

I know this game is like a beat em up like Final Fight and Urban Reign, but in some parts of the game it was like fighting like any other fighting game. I wonder was it on a competitive level? if capcom made it into an actual pure Fighting game without the beat em up type of thing, would you have given it a chance? IMO this game was pretty fun.

I actually liked the environment and gritty characters of this game, Raven was badass.

Nice combos, but they just need add more to it. It has potential to ba a pure fighting game if Capcom were to make it that way.

1:21 I thought Jason G was gonna run Eugene's head into a pole. Scary mofo!

2:11 Melvin looks top tier with those break dance moves, especially in khakis.

4:27 You know it's gotta hurt when your wall combo sends your opponent... through the wall!

No prob, its not a fully fighting game per say. It does have fighting game elements, but its a mix of Beat Em up game and a regular fighting game.
