b2, Soul Steal

I have had much trouble up close with Shang. However, since his overhead (b2) has so much range, linking a soulsteal after it puts the opponent at the perfect range for a jump-in punch/dash cancel followed up by a combo.

Shouldn't b2, soul steal be a staple combo that every Shang player needs to utilize? I find it very practical.

I utilize it all the time, plus I mix in F34, Soul steal to mix things up.

Yes, b2 to SS is already considered a staple. I've had lots of success with F434 up close.


If only Shang didn't have the shittiest uppercut

As mentioned in another thread, b2 into straight fireball can lead into an up skull setup as well, which I find to be pretty ballin'.

I would rather use b2, bb1 instead of b2, soul steal when fighting against characters who I am not good with yet.

Depends if the opponent is playing a character I know how to combo with quickly during the 8s I'm transformed.
