Hi guys. A friend suggested I post this here, so I'm hoping that someone can help me. Here's the copypasta-

Hey everyone. Recently, I started making guides on YouTube in order to help people beat certain games. This morning I decided to do MK2. Everything was going fine, until I got to Kintaro. To my surprise I found out that the usual trick to beat him doesn't seem to work on the actual arcade. Here's a quick clip of the problem with a more detailed description:

(sorry about the link, but the description is important which you cant see with the embedding)

In light of this new information, I need some help trying to find a new pattern to beat Kintaro using Jax. Not being able to use MAME or any other version is the worst part about this. As I mentioned in the video description, I realize it could just be my board (even though everything passes the Burn-In test), but I don't believe that to be the case.

Please help! Thanks in advance guys,
-TM
I forgot to mention in this original post that the difficulty this is being done on is Very Hard. If you read the bottom of the video description, you'll see I mentioned there being a possible problem with MAME, which is why it can't be used. If my theory is correct, despite changing the settings in the test menu as well as the NVRAM remembering it, I have reason to believe MK2 in MAME on Very Hard may actually still be running at Medium. If Very Hard turns down the frequency of Kintaro's pseudo-uppercut, but he still uses it like normal in MAME, it makes sense.

EMULATED, Im sorry the way you say it ''em-u-lated'' not ''emu-lated'', I dislike Mame versions of MKII, Period unlike Regular Xbox Shaolin Monks version, Which is snes and sega version that im aware, You can't do some combo's you could in the SNES/SEGA/XBOX1 Version, Like jump lk bicycle kick with liu kang you can't do that anymore.

But yea the versions thing is very annoying.

Hah, sorry about the pronunciation thing. I think I heard someone say it like that first, and I've been saying it that way ever since. I'm one of those guys who says, 'You-bee-soft' instead of 'Ooh-bee-soft' :p

I'd like to say for the record that I just tested the strategy on the arcade using Medium difficulty instead of Very Hard and to my surprise he still didn't do the fake uppercut. He was easier to defeat, however. I can tell this is going to be tough to crack.

Edit- A friend reminded me of a short method that does work, though there's no known pattern to chain into it or after it so it's only good provided you're lucky enough to connect - Jax's Gotcha grab into a jumping HK will work 90% of the time. Kintaro will go for a fireball (rarely something else which is also susceptible to the kick) when he breaks free and fall victim to the JHK. For those trying to find a working method, keep this little trick in mind.

Edit- testing it again, if you manage to knock him down you can wave punch him after, jump in again, wave punch, repeat - but this only lasts until he gets about half damage before his AI changes. You can also wave punch him over and over again and he'll just block it and take it, though once his AI changes, you're back at square one.

Edit- I believe I've found something.

Final Edit- The video is out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZN8xi7TSAY0 - There were no small parts in this. Thanks everyone!
