Road to Grand Finals
This week the bracket gods were merciless. I, the previous champion, lost round one 2-3 because I guessed wrong 5 times in a row. FishermanDill, the previous runner-up, also lost round one 1-3. Roommates BlitzTheWolf & Vibu had to face off. Long time rivals Henzzar and TheDarkSilence played a heartbreaking set. Reign had a fair going. The good news for him was that he did not do as many yolo ball rolls; the bad news was that he did not punish with ball roll. The worst of the mayhem was when Dust played ATP's Acidic Alien. In a set of 3/5 Dust was given a total of 5 seconds to actually play the game. The chant #LetDustPlay echoed throughout the building.
After the bloodbath, ATP sat comfortably in Grand Finals and Vibu sat in Losers Finals awaiting his next opponent. The set to decide top 3 was Henzzar vs FishermanDill. It was a back and forth set with ups and downs for both players. FishermanDill, however, would set a new standard. He broke apart the traditional Austin top 3 and really solidified his dominance in our scene. But in Losers Finals Vibu would not be outplayed by FishermanDill. Vibu's play style was too patient and reaction based for the brazen Dill. Dill tried to make too much happen too fast and ended up making lots of unsafe decisions. Check out how we got there below:

There's no easy way to say it. This was a dirty mopping by ATP. He counterpicked Vibu's CSZ with Tarkatan Alien and mauled Vibu in his own home.
Next time...
ATP will be at Final Round 19 slaughtering innocent nerds who think they can play fighting games. And Henzzar will miss the 1st of many weeklies for the next 2 months. So, if Vibu continues to binge watch anime then the top 3 spots should be wide open for all other players to claim.
