Anything Happen on a weekly basis in the Kitchener Ontario area?

I'd love a place to go and get some weekly's in. Does anybody know of anything?

Or if not, of maybe a resource I could use to find something in the area? Kitchener is a little more than an hour west of Toronto.

Go too Toronto Top Tiers. I haven't gone to one single weekly yet due to me living in Waterloo now and working nights in Toronto 6 nights a week. But check them out.

One day very soon I'll go too since there's nothing in the KW area.

In the past year I moved to Waterloo for school, and am hoping to connect with NRS players in the area. I play a lot of MKX right now, and will be picking up MK11 day one. I know this thread is super old, but is anyone else around who might want to organize some games? I checked out the Waterloo FGC, and it doesn't seem to have any NRS players unfortunately - hopefully that'll change with MK11.

Pin up arcade at Weber & University has a U of W meet up on Thursday I think.

There are other places so I've heard but I have zero time to go check it out. Not sure it's only exclusive to U of W as I've seen others in there with sticks and pads even on the weekends.

Yeah, I've checked it out a few times but no one there played NRS titles. It seems like the scene is mostly into anime and tekken.

Yeah. That place has only been there for a few years too. I'm sure MK11 will be played there once it releases. Not surprised Tekken & SFV are the main games.

I think tourneys are every other weekend too. Don't quote me on that.

Once I'm back in town I'll check it out as well. There's a few other places that kind of hold locals but there for smash and sfv too. There's a bunch. I'll be looking to investigate myself too

Agreed, MK11 will be pretty big and I'm sure there will be quite a few people looking for locals. Hopefully we can get some tournaments going too, I miss being a part of a local FGC since I moved.

In the meantime, if you're ever looking to get some MKX games in and want to meet at one of the Uwaterloo FGC meets at pinup or the university, just PM me.
