Question Anyone smell toast?

I recently got into the deeper into the mechanics of MK9 and on this site I keep seeing "toasty boost". My question is, what is a Toasty Boost? What does it do? How do you do one? Any and all answers will be appreciated (maybe not the ignorant ones). Thank you!

The toasty boost is achieved when Dan Forden pops out and yells "TOASTY!"
You then have approx. 3 seconds to input the command for your characters toasty boost.

The toasty boost gives you a full meter.

If you trigger Dan Forden (Guy that pops out and says Toasty!) You have a few seconds to input a specific command for your character. If you do input the right code within the time limit, you're rewarded with full meter.

He comes out randomly whenever you do an uppercut or other specific moves like Kabal's hooksword launcher but I think I heard JAP or Check say that he comes out more frequently when both players have the same amount of health/meter. Also your opponent can input their toasty boost command too so if you're not quick enough he can steal it from you.
