Anyone know how to unlock this pass in INVASION?

Sort of near the start and to the left of the Living Forest Level is this 4 way path that leads to a dead end (you can see the dead end if you head left from here).... anyway... I can not work out how to unlock it. The site dose not have a "Kule" or anything... but I have beaten it twice and the red path has not unlocked (so 3 times total including when all paths were red)

Additional : Is there a way to see % Completed of a given messa island thing?

go right, it will take you around. The red path is actually the path down to the node youre standing on in the picture, not a path up.

ahh... ok... yeah looked like I was supposed to be able to walk there.
