Anyone else notice the weird graphics in the story mode trailer they played during Fatal 8?

During the Fatal 8, they played the Story Mode trailer. It was the same trailer; but with worse graphics. There's a comparison of the original trailer and the new trailer going around on Twitter. Here's the comparison (with a few "enhancements"):

Before anyone flips out and says that the game might have got a graphical down-grade; NO. I've seen gameplay of the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game from Twitch and YouTube (people got the game early; like you probably already know) and the game looks fine. In-fact, the game has actually gotten a graphic update. I know this because I actually did a graphics comparison of some of the first stuff we saw (at E3 2014) vs. some of the newer stuff (Kombat Kasts, Trailers, etc). So I've seen the finished game and it looks fine. But if you need more information; I haven't seen any reports of graphical down-grades from anyone who has the game, or has played it.

So what do I think this is? I think we may (this is just a maybe) be looking at the Last-Gen version of the game. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. I don't see NetherRealm showing, or releasing, a version of the Story Trailer before it was complete or anything like that. So I don't think we are looking at an early build or anything. I honestly think we might be seeing the last-gen versions of the game... What do you think?

YES. Li Mei looked like a CGI from a 90's game. Think of Resident Evil.

Yes I did. I noticed it when I saw li Mei and the scene where the mk kids are sneaking up on the tarkatans. Definitely looks like it could be last gen.

There's multiple people on Twitter who seriously thinks the game has gotten a graphical down-grade for the XBO versions of the game... did they not see the game being played at Fatal 8? Did they not see any of videos/streams that have gone up recently? They need to calm down and stop assuming things.

Any chance it's just the lighting or some kind of error in the way that they played it?

I can't imagine that they'd make a seperately version of the trailer for last gen

to be honest i dont think it looks that bad, yeah of course this gen looks WAY better but with what they had to work with it looks pretty damn good
