I main Sub and Reptile... I'm needing a 3rd char for bad match ups, and I want to learn a new character.

My gut says go with Liu Kang or Raiden.
Wicked special-based combos for Raiden, unjust zoning and maniacal juggles from Liu.
One slow and steady like Sub in Raiden, one swift as the wind like Reptile in Liu.
Ding, ding .
And dammit if I was just about to come ask the same thing.
Cyrax is in good shape. Stryker's trustworthy. But neither Noob or Subby seem to be doing the trick...
I've tried a bunch of hands, but I can't find the right pair for a dependable #3.
With all the buzz of Reptile, or the now-underestimated weapons of Kung Lao, I'm leaning towards one of the two.
