Any New York City region area players?

Hey guys! Nice forum.

Since the online in this game sucks ass, I'd love to go head to head with some locals offline. Maybe even like a weekly gathering of perhaps 4 or 5 other players.

Any users here live in Manhattan or the 5 boroughs? Im not really willing to travel more than a subway or bike ride. But would love to maybe meet up and hone some skills with fellow MK fans. Lets take this great new, UNBROKEN (finally) MK for real.

Im close to the Union Square station in Manhattan.

Also, you playing on PS3 or 360?

Im using 360 with a custom joystick.

I'm located in Queens and definitely up for something like that. I have the PS3 version + TE stick. However, I don't think getting a 360 TE stick would be too hard for those occasional 360 gatherings.

Hey, I live out in staten island and won my local Gamestop tournament. I'd love to at some point meet other players in NYC area and hang, play some MK.

This isn't the first unbroken MK though, MK2 and UMK3 were fine but are very old which turns some people off...the 3D MK's though lol I hear ya, they had tons of issues.

But This MK is definitely awesome, and IMO the best or one of the best for sure.

Well thats already 4 of us.

I wouldnt be able to host but I am willing to bring consoles or controllers to any place.

Hey didn't I play you few nights ago? BattleBear sounds familiar. Anywho, are you in like Bayonne or Woodbridge Jersey? or Jersey City? Anything else is most likely farther from NYC/Staten Island area.

Any of you guys that want, Dark Rob and I get together almost every Thursday for offline casuals. We're in very western Nassau county, almost on the border of Queens, on the South Shore. We would love to get you guys to these casuals and really get the offline scene going.

Ooo, I might check this out. I'm pretty scrubby as the name suggest but this seems like something to look out for.

Id also love to get down on this. Unfortunatly for me I dont have a car, so any trip to Nassau Or Suffolk counties would be a bit of a trek for me. Howeve if maybe you guys were able to do this somewhere else or someone could get me a ride Id def be down. Does the word "casual" involve the consumption of beer for those of us of legal age?

Since I go to Stony Brook, I know that the LIRR stops at Valley Stream. I am gonna look up the place but hopefully it isn't too far from the train if you're coming in from the city.

EDIT: It looks like its rather close from the LIRR. So you should just go with that :)

Sweet. I think I may check this out if I can make it on the 14th.

9.95, are you planning on having any tourneys here beyond this date? And would there be the choice of PS3 or 360? I own a custom stick but it's only for the 360.

(And BTW, nice XBAND Avatar. That shit takes me back. WAY Back)

I go to school in NYC and im like mainly around 20th street area (chelsea) during the semester

I play UMK3 as well

Well right now i live at Rutgers, but im from central jersey. Freehold area

Anyways im in NY all the time so i will be following the NY section commonly.

Im down for some casuals.

I live in Nassau County, Long island but a train to the city is 30 min for me so im down. Just need to get a 360 stick first....I play on ps3.
