Any advice here from the top players?

My main is Ermac MoS, but I feel like sometimes hes not so good.
I want to decide what my second character should be, and I am hesitating between Takeda and Scorpion
Any advice here? I play most of the time online against other players

I'm not a top player, but it doesn't take a top player for this kind of advice.

Your best bet is to invest some time into both characters and see who you feel comfortable with. I am arguably one of the worst people for choosing a main. I'll literally play every character before picking a main which takes me a month sometimes! But I find its worth it. To me Ermac fits me in every way shape or form and I'm comfortable with him. I've never been a character loyalist but if I was? #teamermac

But I dont know, against players like Kung jin, its harder

Kung Jin is a very well rounded character, and people don't have to spend much time on him to utilize him at a decent level. My advice, don't get too frustrated when playing against him. It will be one of the most important matchups to learn for the foreseeable future. As far as your main, Ermac requires a good amount of time to get a handle on, but he is good in this game. Thing about NRS games is patches and dlc change things around pretty heavily, so trying out a few characters is a really good idea. Unless you are a loyalist there is no need to but all of your eggs in one basket.

Anyone thinking Ermac isn't viable to compete with everyone is smoking some serious shit. Honestly I say stick with Ermac and maybe change your play style and habits. Chances are its your skill and gameplay, not the character.

Edit: And I'm not saying anyone in this thread said Ermac isn't viable, I'm just preemptively stating my thought on "top tier" and such.

But i feel like there could be more like another character and i really like scorpion and takeda too, they seem better

Personally I put those three in this order -> Scorpion - Ermac - Takeda
but that depends on your play style and what you want to do.

Just stick it out with Ermac if you're already good with him and level up. Trust me I play him way differently now than I did a week ago in terms of the neutral game and getting in. He's good.

Pick Scorpion and vortex away. He's really good in this game, and while he may be popular among randoms online, I'm surprised he isn't more popular among top players.

I've played 200 games online with him with an 89% win rate. It's not alot but it's not bad.

I main him for now, dragons fire combos are sick.

Which ones are top tier?

Inferno Scorpion, Grandmaster Sub Zero. Both are so strong and so easy to play that my grandma could win tournaments with them.
