History
Anna is the younger sister of Nina Williams. Anna learned her Aikido techniques from her mother, a female national Aikido champion. Her father, Richard Williams, taught Nina assassination techniques, but he has neglected Anna for years and never taught her assassination techniques.
It seems as if Anna entered the first tournament to get back at her sister, but they ended up fighting at their apartment.

Ending Description:Anna has no ending even though she makes a cameo in Nina William's ending. She burst into the kitchen, accusing her sister of stealing one of her high heels. In anger Nina slaps her and Anna turns her back sobbing.
While her back is turned Nina reveals that she had the shoe the whole time.

As in the first tournament, Nina was once again hired to assassinate the sponsor of the current tournament, Kazuya Mishima. Whether at Kazuya's discretion or Anna's own volition, Anna became a bodyguard for Kazuya, along with Ganryuand Bruce Irwin, who were all charged with Kazuya's protection. It is likely that Anna's intervention prevented her sister from carrying out her contract, and Nina was later captured by Mishima Zaibatsu forces and used in Doctor Boskonovich's cryonics ('cold-sleep') research. Learning about this, Anna volunteered to be another test subject, requesting that she be woken in the future at the same time as Nina. Her reasons for doing so remain ambiguous, though the game suggests that Anna would have felt lonely without Nina and/or jealous at the thought of her sister's youth being preserved.

Ending Description:Anna is taking a shower. She turns the water off, grabs a towel, and gets out of the shower. Nina walks in. A few seconds later, Anna turns her head around, and Nina takes a picture of her with a camera. Nina holds up the picture and laughs. There is a closeup of the photo before this ending ends. It shows Anna covering her breasts with her arms.

Nineteen years ago, Kazuya Mishima confided some alarming news to Anna. Her sister, Nina Williams, was planning to become a guinea pig of Doctor Boskonovitch's "Cold Sleep". As much as they quarreled, Anna would miss her sleeping sister. Even worse was the fact that she would continue to age while her sister was frozen in time. Anna also went to Dr. Boskonovitch, subjected her to the Cold Sleep, and asked to be awakened at the same time that Nina was awakened.
Sensing theGod of Fighting's evil presence, both Nina and Anna awoke nineteen years later. Anna awoke without any side effects, but Nina had somehow lost all of her memories of Anna, which saddened Anna, because she was making an effort to continue their sibling rivalry. Now, rather than fighting Nina, Anna felt the need to help Nina and prevent her from again becoming an assassin.

Ending Description:
Japanese version: Anna and Nina are laying on chairs at the beach. Three men come up to them. Two of the men are dancing while one flexes his muscles. Nina turns her head away. One of them pulls Nina off of her chair by the arm, and he dances while holding Nina's arm. Anna is shown with the other two men. Anna is enjoying their attention. Nina gives a disgusted look, and she breaks free of the man's grasp. Nina walks up behind Anna and pulls the upper half of Anna's bikini down so that it falls off. A mortified look appears on Anna's face as she covers her breasts. Nina walks away, takes her sunglasses off, and smiles.
American/European version: Anna and Nina are laying on chairs at the beach. Three men come up to them. Two of the men are dancing while one flexes his muscles. Nina turns her head away. Anna is shown with two of the men. Anna is enjoying their attention. They walk past Nina and the other man. The other man goes with them. Anna and the three men walk away. Anna flicks her hair once and smiles.

In Tekken 4, Anna is mysteriously and inexplicably absent, though she is mentioned in Nina's Tekken 4 prologue.

Sister and rival of Nina Williams, Anna had been leading a dull and boring life since the disappearance of her sister. That all changed one day when she received a phone call from Nina. Several days later, the two met again after having been apart for two years. However, upon seeing her sister's face, Nina immediately opened fire. Anna returned fire and the ensuing gun battle lasted for days.
Both sides failed to land a decisive blow and it was decided they would settle things at The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Anna vowed to eliminate her sister once and for all

Prologue Text:Anna Williams. A woman who has always fought with her sister, Nina. Nina vanished a few years ago and Anna felt something was missing in her life. Then she got a call... from Nina. Anna met Nina a few days later and the moment Nina saw her sister, shots were fired. The ensuing battle lasted for days. In the end they decided to settle things in The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Anna screams, "That Bitch! This time, she's dead!"

Epilogue Text::After being inspired by their sibling rivalry, a movie director insists on casting them in an upcoming film. "With that witch?!" Despite her hatred for her sister, knows that this is a chance she can't pass up.

Ending Description: Anna and Nina are hired to take part in a movie. They fight on a castle's rooftop with swords. In the end, Nina is victorious, and Anna falls to the ground. The director complains that they aren't following the script. A few seconds later, Nina's armor begins to fall off. Nina tries to hold on to her armor as it falls off. Then, the camera shows Anna, who has risen off of the ground slightly, laughing.

After the humiliating defeat from her older sister and enemy, Nina Williams… Anna sought revenge. She didn’t want it to end this way. Nina though, has already gone into hiding. Hearing rumors that Nina Williams has joined forces with the new Mishima Zaibatsu, Anna Williams decided to join forces with G Corporation.

Ending Description:In a club where Nina and Anna are located, Anna goes first for billiards, chalking the nub of her cue up. Then, a thug (the purse-snatcherfrom Lei's ending) enters to the other table, ready to play billiards as well. He turns around as Anna bumps him behind her with her booty along with his (making a "boing" sound effect) accidentally, causing him to stumble, waving his arms around madly to stabilize himself. Anna slyly apologizes. As the thug turns around, Anna clubbed him accidentally with a cue stick, and covers her mouth, feigning a shocked expression. The thug grew furious at Anna, who isn't phased, and drew his knife. Nina struts up next to her sister and crosses her arms, both women stood in offensive. The thug tries to lunge his knife at Anna, but Anna grabbed the man and kneed him in the groin, leaving him open for Nina to launch him in the air with a kick, which gave Anna enough time to leap in the air and kick him. The thug lands onto his pool table. Nina "wows" her sister. Unexpectedly, Lee Chaolangives them a thumbs-up for their performance, surprising Nina.

Strategy
Strengths
  • Anna’s strong Full Crouch mix up game is still intact
  • Her low attacks are pretty buff
  • She is one of the few characters that can actually combo off of a low parry from Chaos Judgment
Weaknesses
  • While Anna’s Full Crouch game is still strong, it is still as unsafe
  • You can still sidestep most of her more dangerous options
Top 10 Moves
  • Uppercut Jab: df+1,2 or While Rising 1,2
  • Step-In Uppercut: df+2
  • Right Handed Sweep: Full Crouch df+2
  • Wine Opener: df+3
  • Rusty Hook: b+4
  • Standing Right Kick: Standing 4
  • Assassin’s Dagger: qcf+1
  • Treading Water (1st part): ff+3
  • Rising Palm: While Rising 2
  • Executioner: ff+2
The name of the game for Anna is pokes and Full Crouch mixups. She was well known in this for Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection and even though some options have been made more unsafe, this guessing game she has is still feasible to use in Tekken 6.

Starting with her Full Crouch options, Anna has plenty to choose from, with most of them leading into a launcher. The most general ones to use are her Rising Palm (While Rising RP) and Right Handed Sweep (Full Crouch df+2). Rising Palm is her main While Rising launcher that will launch on a normal hit and Right Handed Sweep is a low attack that will knock the opponent down for a juggle and will crush high attacks. It is usually used with Rising Palm as a mid or low guessing game, which both options will launch if they hit. Right Hand Stab (Full Crouch f+2) is another mid attack that she can use from Full Crouch which will slam the opponent down on hit and is a little bit safer than her Rising Palm. Anna can also play it safer from Full Crouch with her new Face Wash (While Rising 3), a mid kick that has the option to go into Chaos Judgment (b+3) by holding b.

Chaos Judgment is her own unique stance with a few special tricks built in. She has Guard Breaker (df+1+2 or Chaos Judgment 1+2), a mid attack that will put her in a small advantage on block or hit, aForward Roll (Chaos Judgment ff) to cover distance and can go into various attack options andDendrobates Azureus (Chaos Judgment db+3,3), a new low to high attack string which will combo as long as the 1st part connects. The most unique things about Chaos Judgment is that it is the only stance that will Auto Reverse Throw attempts and if you time yourself going into Chaos Judgment right, Anna will Auto Jump/Counter low attacks into her Stryx (Chaos Judgment uf+4) launcher!

Aside from Right Hand Stab and Face Wash, Anna can also use Uppercut into Jab (df
+1,2 or While Rising 1,2) to replace her mid attack mixup option from her Full Crouch game as it is safe and will both combo if the 1st hit connects. Uppercut Jab is also one of her best pokes to use in general, along with Wine Opener (df+4). Wine Opener is still one of her best low attacks and still preserves it’s speed and stun properties on hit.Rusty Hook (b+4) is the best addition to her poke options because of its speed, safeness and is one of the best homing attacks in the game.

Anna also has great standard attacks to use if she isn’t using her Full Crouch game. Step-In Uppercut (df+2) is her main standing launching attack and Standing Right Kick (Standing 4) is exactly like everyone character’s generic Standing Right Kick, which means it is also fast and will launch the opponent on Counter Hit. The first hit of Treading Water (ff+4) is also a regular standing launcher, but with longer reach, ideal for hitting your opponent when they miss an attack from far away. Assassin’s Dagger (qcf+1) is a classic move Anna has had since Tekken 3, still maintaining its power as a fast and un-reversible high attack that will launch the opponent sky high on Counter Hit for one of her fiercest juggles and will put the opponent in a small block stun when blocked.

If you are a veteran Anna player, you will still notice that Anna is still vulnerable to sidestepping, especially against her launchers like Rising Palm and Right Handed Sweep. Thankfully, Rusty Hook is the answer to this predicament, but some players will just take Rusty Hook’s damage and will play the odds of you using one of her linear attacks. While her Full Crouch game is strong, it has been made a bit more unsafe, such as Rising Palm being more unsafe now. Her Full Crouch game it is also still somewhat slow, which means that you will have to risk getting Counter Hit if the opponent presses buttons if they see you starting to crouch. Using attacks like Uppercut Jab and Wine Opener will help solve this problem as they both will put you at an advantage on hit, but be careful with Wine Opener because unfortunately, it also has been made unsafe. Moreover, making an opponent block an attack like Executioner (ff+2), a high attack that will put the opponent in a heavy guard stun will also put you at an even bigger advantage, allowing you to use your Full Crouch game more confidently. Mixing in her pokes with her Full Crouch game is essential to her offense, since her pokes are fast and will make your opponent not to want to attack. Follow this strategy and you will be able to make your opponents freeze up for your Full Crouch mixup and control the match!

Advanced strategy and set-ups
As far as I can tell, Anna retains all oki she had in Tekken 6: BR, minus the unblockables, which no longer track. That's hardly a nerf on her oki potential, because those tech traps weren't that good anyways. What's even better is that Anna's oki has actually gotten better due to the tag mechanics.

So, to get things started.

Qcf+1 as a tag assault ender gives a tag crash/raw tag out bait of dash into swl. You can punish them with ff+3 for a juggle, or df+3,3,3,1 ff+3 if they don't know to duck the high.

qcf+1 as a tag assault ender also allows for a dash d+4,1 to pick up if they roll back for a reset. d+4,1_u/d~sw can be used to bait out wake up kicks.

At the wall, as a tag assault ender, uf+4,3,4~u/d~swl will put you to your opponents back if they tag crash.

Certain moves, such as Paul's demolition man and Michelle's d+2,3,1 can be purposefully whiffed during tag assault combos to hide Anna going into and doing a FC mixup. Similarily, Anna's b+1,2,2 can be used to hide your partner's attack/throw/etc.

Anna's df+2, qcf+1, 1, qcf+1, f+3~b CJM 1+2 B! FC f+1~5 can be used to setup oki or mixups for another character.
