It'd be way to far away given they just announced it.

MK9 was announced in October 2010, released April 2011.

So if they're going by the same schedule, it shouldn't be more than 6 months from now.

Also, the game is coming out for last gen systems, which means the release should be sooner rather than later, as they are betting it will be early enough in the XB1's and PS4's life that many will not have upgraded by then.
