AL Eevee wins Step Yo Game Up Bi-Weeklies (6/27)

Fromundaman

I write too much.
Well, this is probably going to be a shorter write-up than what I usually do. Between a ridiculous amount of work and general laziness, I've already put this thread off a full week, so without further ado...

___________

A few things to note:

-Kenshinoyo was unable to join as he showed up very late.
-We streamed the event, but for some reason we have no archive of it, so I guess I can't link it. This is a shame since VGM was playing out of his mind at this event.
-Red Cyclone showed some Chris G level adaptation this tournament and went from being out of practice and getting mopped up in the first few matches to dominating the loser's bracket.
-Jellityme was finally able to find time between school and work to attend this event.

__________

We kicked off our tournament with MPII's Zod playing against Mod's Superman. These two are training partners, although Mod has usually been the more successful of the two. MPII was determined to show Mod that a new king had arrived though, and while set went back and forth, MPII's Zod ultimitely ended up clutching it out with Wraith-assisted interactibles on game 5.

Off-stream (Which doesn't mean much since the stream archive wasn't saved...) we had Fromundaman and Red Cyclone facing off. This matchup happened a few events ago and last time Red Cyclone had taken the first game convincingly only to have Fromundaman run the set back in a convincing 3-1 victory. Would Red Cyclone allow it to happen again?
The answer is yes, and Fromundaman's Joker took the set 3-0 over Red Cyclone's Wonder Woman.

Next up was Eevee's Harley against Sonic Lionheart's Hawkgirl/Nightwing combo. Eevee had been talking about how he had Hawkgirl down now, and he showed it, forcing Sonic Lionheart to switch to Nightwing. Nightwing did a bit better, but in the end Eevee took the set.

Meanwhile VGMtheVagabond's Raven and Jellityme's Killer Frost faced off in an intense set that I missed. I know that Raven won and Jellityme left the station very salty, but sadly I saw no more.

.... Ah fuck it. I don't remember this enough and I've been working too hard to do a write up right now. I'm just going to post this now so that it actually gets done before the next event.
