What's a Smarrgasm?
Last night was the monthly meeting in Atlanta for the Battle and Brew tournament series for Injustice. This marks the 6th and last for a couple months with Battle and Brew moving locations and putting tournaments on hold. With this is mind, all competitors were hoping to taste victory more than ever along with the patch also being imminent.
The night began with 13 competitors set to do battle with many strong names from the AK crew in attendance while some others were seemingly absent. After muchof the competition had been completed the top 4 was settled with RTD and Goomba in winners and Pig of the Hut and Trepound in losers. Pig of the Hut would eliminate Trepound ina fierce Zod vs Hawkgirl battle and move on to losers finals. In winners finals, RTD used the power of the yellow ring to take down the Amazon warrior and move on to Grand Finals and a guaranteed Top 2 finish. Losers finals saw the clash of two of the best in Pig and Goomba. After some very heated matches Pig tasted victory and revenge (Goomba sent him to losers earlier on) and moved on to face RTD and his old companion Sinestro. In the Grand Finals Pig was out for blood and in a quick 4 games he reset the bracket. RTD was hanging on for dear life but after 2 more losses attempted a last trick up his sleeve and picked Superman. The attempt however was to no avail as Pig finished the set and the tournament to claim victory with Zod.
This marks the 2nd Battle and Brew victory for AK|RDK Pig of the Hut. His first was the very first for this game. With his new character, Pig is showing more and more signs of his dominant self from the MK days. As the patch looms in just four more days, who knows what will happen in Atlanta in the future. Battle and Brew will now be taking a few months break as they change locations so be sure to tune in to the weekly Atlanta Kombat Arena's (Friday Nights @ 7-8 pm EST) for your Injustice fix from Atlanta.
