Using the Dolphin emulator and a copy of Midway Arcade Treasures 2 you can actually have really fucking good MK2/MK3 (not UMK3) netplay.

UMK3 on the DS was too fast (not a bad thing tbh) but the ports have a lot of weird sound issues and slowdowns, @ded would know the specifics.

That's cuz the emulation is not 1:1, a common occurrence even with established emulators like PCSX 2 or Dolphin

I could have sworn it was, I have arcade treasures, the port really is bad.

yeah, it's bad. i would advise to use mame instead. can you please let me know how did you manage to run mat2 with dolphin, as i could not successfully emulate that?
