I would be SO down for this if someone can point me in the right direction to download MAME. I had it on my old computer, but that thing was junk, and now i have a new pc with MUCH better specs. 8 gigs of ram, 3.6ghz quad core proccessor, geforce gtx 550, all around decent (not amazing, but decent) hardware.

I'd love to play people online over kaillera. Only problem is i play on a controller 99% of the time now and cant play with a keyboard worth a shit. Still would play some casuals for fun though.

Actually i just realized the link in your sig has a dl link anyway. Stupid me, haha. Look forward to some GG's with people.

Remz, is there is a Kaillera server anywhere in the western US? I can't find one at all. My connection to WW, Galaxy, etc is garbage.

I'll buy a server located in Chicago, but since I'll already pay for the (great) NY server, I'll probably need donations to keep it running.

I would love to do this aswell if I could download MAME , im looking to get better but everyone on XBL talks shit and calls me trash lol. Anyone wanna help?

Download MAME 0.64 and both original mk3 and umk3 roms.
Then open MAME and click on audit all games.
AFTER auditing all games, replace the umk3.zip file with Juggernaut hacks of umk3 (another umk3.zip)
Click on TAB in MAME to set controls.

The Chicago server is up now (209.177.158.237), I heard that The Galaxy will die soon, so if it does, this server will replace it. People should have the same ping on the Chicago, but with a lot less lag and crashes.

I've gotten it all to work, my controller works aswell but I don't know how to get on the kaillera server and I don't know how to switch the umk3 with the juggernaut hack, when I attempt to it shows up as nothing is there in the folder :(

You click "File," then "Play network game."

All you do, is replace the original 7MB UMK3 rom with the Juggernauts hack one. DO NOT audit or refresh the list after replacing it.

So this is what I did. I put the original UMK3 file in there with the MK3 file aswell, audited, and then after it was finished I removed the UMK3 file and put in the juggernaut hack, played and it says I am missing files. What am I doing wrong? :(

I'll happily play you on MAME or XBL. I'd prefer XBL as I'm better with a controller. IDK how good you are right now but if you're new i could probably teach you a few things :). Add me on XBL my gamertag is sagejiraiya52

Its all good man I'm not the greatest player ever, I'm okay, mediocre compared to some of the really good players. I'm pretty knowledgeable about the game though, even if I'm not the best at playing it, lol

Do you have the arcade kollection or the 06 umk3? All i have is the kollection unfortunately

Get a wired 360 controller, it plugs right into a Windows PC. The 360 controller sucks for UMK3 though.

I used to play on the keyboard, but don't often anymore, and i can't kara jab for shit on it. I am better at performing some combos on a keyboard though, its super easy to put in inputs very quickly for perfect timing.

I am actually used to the 360 controller. When i first started using it i thought it totally sucked, and bought one of those pdp fight pads. The cheapass ones with the same 6 button layout as the old genesis turbo controllers.

Anyway, i used that until it broke (they are very cheaply made and usually don't last long) then switched to the xbox controller and havent looked back. The D-pad kind of sucks but you get used to it. It occasionally screws me up sometimes but you'd be surprised how well you can play with it after you get some practice.
