These words are spoken by Raiden during his intro against Scorpion, the latter having asked why Raiden is seeking out the Shirai Ryu.

Could this be in regards to simply a story element, or could it reference a playable character from the Chaos Realm. Maybe Havik from MKD or even a new character.

Apologies if this has already been discussed. I was just watching some of the intros and I came across this particular exchange. Thought it might be worth speculating about. ^^

As much as I'd love to get my hopes up, a lot of the intro dialogues are meaningless and very misleading (e.g. dialogues between Revenants who were never brought back).

But we do know that one of the writers has a soft spot for Havik, so anything is possible.

Probably just a little nod to MKD and nothing more. Raiden mentions the Chaosrealm in one of his MKX intros as well.

Maybe, but I don't know how Baraka's fatality or the uppercut krushing blow will work on him. Maybe he'll get a redesign if he's in?

Maybe he'd "gain" skin over his jaw during the krushing blow? XD
