Does anyone know if this is limited in the GC controller department though? That is, are we only allowed 4 GC controllers via the adapter and then 4 more players on Wii U controllers? If so, that would be exponentially less interesting.

Just read about this and had a friend call me about this is awesome news!

I agree that I think the 8 player online would cause major lag like most fighters do already with KOTH rooms.

Cool news about Mewtwo too, I hope he'll be the Ermac of Smash lol.
