Tech 214 into X-Ray

I was just wondering how this is done. I've seen it used so many times, but for some reason it drops for me. Does anyone know why I might be dropping this? I notice that the player before doing the Xray pauses a second before unleashing it, but every time Im doing this, it whiffs.

Hold the X-Ray buttons (L2+R2) down for half a second then let go.

Seems like you've already got your answer but yeah, you just hold down the Xray for a split second before you let it go.

Also, if you do it in the corner, you can charge the x-ray just a little bit longer.

if it doesn't kill them... you want to... because i'm pretty sure if it hits to "high" he reverses positions.

Love that small X-ray combo, with towards jp, it does 50% present, so i don't know why all these other Sub players, go all out for a combo thats harder to pull into the X-ray for 49% always fuzzled me
