It's not dying. MLG Dallas just happened a week earlier. The scene deserved a little break. Nevertheless, I'm glad these few players went on to represent.

Doubt it. Based on my encounters with BoomGorillas, they usually wind up not streaming MK, instead placing higher priority on the Xbox games. This is not to say they never streamed it at all, but more often than not, they don't.

Though with the huge success of MLG for the MK community, I'm pretty sure it will inspire more players to come out of Dallas and the surrounding areas.

Anyway, congrats to the top placers!

There's also issues with things like work. I know i've had work scheduled for about 2 months for this weekend because i took off for MLG.

I'm going to be real here. This is probably the reason why Dallas doesn't have as many MK players as it can truly have...because it doesn't get streamed as often as it should. Before MLG, the players were getting more obscure and when the majors do happen, the streams are focused primarily around other games. I understand that the popular games deserve their stream time, but it's no excuse for one or two games to be shunned to the side, especially when said games are evolving. If this could change, the MK scene in Dallas would really come alive.

Am I saying to stream only MK? Absolutely not. I'm saying, all featured games and their players deserve an equal level of treatment.

This post isn't directed at you, by the way. I'm just expressing a bit of frustration I've harbored over the few Dallas tournaments I went to where MK didn't get streamed, such as Round 7 of Texas Bar Fights and a couple of D-town Beatdowns. Then you have the Uppercut Circuit who only streamed part of their MK tournament, which made no sense to me as they could have streamed all or most of the matches after some of the other games wrapped up so they'd have a greater variety of footage. They had all day to do this.

But meh, what do I know? I could be missing something here. *shrugs*
