    Blue Beetle Match up guide

Got around to testing max range T bf3 safety. These are not the only punishes for some of the characters. The blockstun is really quick so you have to be ready to punish. Punishes Aquaman b1 Atrocitus f1 Bane d1 Batman trait Black Adam f1 Black Canary bf2 Blue Beetle (T) bf3, T 1/T d1 Brainiac...

    Cyborg Combo Thread

From raw b3 the gravity is less forgiving. j3 j1 leads to 362.47 damage so you lose about 13 damage but consistency is more valuable than anything. Bounce cancel b3 seems to let you get the max damage just fine.

    Cyborg Combo Thread

Found a damage optimization after b3 and f3. There's some timing involved to get the proper height. It seems less strict from bounce cancels. *Using the OP notation.* f3 j2 j2 12b2 PF (342.12) b3 j3 j2 12b2 PF (376.25) Some damage comparisons: 11 qcb BC j3 j2 113 PF (412.74) vs 11 qcb BC j3...

    Blue Beetle Combo Science

I decided to be useful to my fellow Beetleborgs and search for max damage combos. Combos are arranged meterless, 1 bar, and 2 bar. Using the notation in the OP. (Just wanted to get the post started. Will continue to edit.) d1 (7-frame punish) d1 bf2 11 bf3 (94.48 + 26 on block = 120.48) *whiffs...

Question - High Tech F12 QBRC into standing 1 issues

Ayy glad to hear you got it. I find it difficult to do consistently. Having that down really helps midscreen to get max damage off of it as a whiff punish.

Match-Up Discussion - High Tech MKXL High Tech Matchups

Ayy I got tagged! What an honor. All I'll say for now is that Venomous and Brood Mother do better against High Tech than Swarm Queen for sure. d3/d4 gives High Tech enough trouble already but add in Brood Mother's zoning and Venomous' spray then neutral becomes that much more difficult...

General/Other - Jacqui Briggs Jacqui Patch Notes

Unlisted changes I just found: The first two gaps in 2334 are smaller and both 33 kicks are safer on block. She's not off to a great start at all but hope some of you will stick with me in trying to make her work.

General/Other - Jacqui Briggs Jacqui Patch Notes

No extra frames to cancel on a blocking opponent were added to High Tech. Everything still jails BUT you can only do 1 QBRC ever now with the stamina changes. A lot of the system changes were against her. Honestly what may be even worse is with the 3 frames of recovery added to df2 she can't do...

Question - High Tech Jacqui HIGH TECH buff ideas..

I'll chime in since the new patch is officially confirmed. The one buff I would absolutely love above anything else is for db2 to have a quicker startup and recovery. At this point I accept that her neutral game will have the most glaring issues and will determine most of her matchups. No one...

Guide - High Tech Understanding HiJac

Tested all characters for the 4u4 blockstring and updated which characters it does not work on. Updated vid for the wide character blockstring. Added vid for 4u4 corner hit-confirm OS and QBRC frames on block for significant strings. Considering adding QBRC j1/j2 combo route info but it is...

Jacqui's d3 and d4 can low-profile Slasher's projectile and some others. Use them to low-profile wakeups like F/T's command grab and some normals in neutral as well.

Guide - High Tech Understanding HiJac

Thank you very much :) Well the walk speed helps but that's more used to bait mistakes and punish. The most common is walk back, see a counterpoke whiff, and punish with b2. You have to make reads to get your offense started due to the issues with her normals. Sometimes you can just run in and...

Guide - High Tech Understanding HiJac

New post for post-patch general dump: High Tech did not get any variation-specific changes however the added + frames to some of her normals and strings boosted her midscreen damage by allowing dash cancels which make the optimal 4u4 combo much easier to do. From my testing ia ground pound may...

Strategy - Jacqui Briggs Jacqui In Neutral - A Living Guide

This topic is essential to discuss since this is her biggest weakness. I won't go into it too much in the thread I made about High Tech since I'm posting here. Ground pound and EX are +6 on block btw. In some matchups Jacqui will simply not be able to counterpoke at all. Ex. Johnny d4 and F/T...

Breakthrough - Jacqui Briggs [Pre-XL] The New Jacqui in MKX Online Beta

High Tech could definitely use some love but her neutral is clearly an intended weakness. Only change I'd ask for atm is the buff activating faster. Maybe 40-45 frames since it lasts a long time. Beta bf2 is -8 on block and helps HT and SG out a good bit. I couldn't figure out EX bf2's data but...

Guide - High Tech Understanding HiJac

Was asked to make a thread to help people better understand High Tech. High Tech excels at pressure and benefits players who are not afraid to make reads. However, High Tech's biggest problem is her neutral game. You will have to prepare yourself to be basically trolled in neutral and make...
