A while back @dubson and I kicked around the idea of doing an online tourney to tide some of us over between the Ohio tournament and the next one. SO here we go. Three weeks out - should be enough time.
We'll start at 8PM Eastern time, Saturday October 15.
@Shock has offered to stream the event, at least portions of it, where applicable. So, the primary (preferred) medium for this tourney will be MAME, on server. If the connection to server for one or both players is too laggy, then P2P is OK - it won't be streamed, but you can at least record, send me the .krec file, and I can play it back and upload it - or you can, if you want. If we can do it fast enough, possibly even @Shock can stream the .krec during tournament time so we can all see the results.
If you don't have a PC but still want to play, PSN is available as well. That would be a lot harder to get on stream, but some kind of capture/record can still be done if you want.
FREE entry, it's online, it's just for fun. I had talked about a small entry fee but I think by and large most were against that, so it's fine to be free.
@MRIGOTBASS in a previous thread offered to donate $100 to the event - is that still on the table? I presume it would be winner take all, but that can be discussed.
Tournament rules apply: 3 out of 5, double elimination. Winners finals, losers finals, grand finals will all be 4 out of 7. Juggernaut hack will be used. if PSN has to be used, all functionality of course is the same, because Noob is banned and you can morph into human smoke like always in 1.2.
