What's new

Thanks, Injustice. Now I hate Batman and Superman.

I was never really a DC fan. I don't have strong feelings either way when it comes to the characters or stories. I like the Batman movies, but I've never been interested in him outside of that. And there was some good Superman movies, but I generally never cared about him.

But I never harbored any negative feelings towards them. Until now.

Yesterday I was walking through the mall on my lunch break, and I saw a guy in a black shirt with the yellow batman symbol on it. Suddenly my face muscles began to involuntarily contract. My nostrils flared and my heart rate accelerated. I was salty.

"Batman. Fucking bat trait. What a piece of shit." I thought incessantly as I disgruntledly gnawed on my broiled chicken breast. Batman paraphernalia never arose any feelings in me. And now I can't even see a Batman shirt without having to keep myself from falling off the edge into all-out rage.

The worst part is, we have a Superman movie coming out. "Man of Steel" is setting itself up to re-introduce the character to new generation and give the die-hard fans a representation they can be proud of. If it's good... If it sucks, we'll shrug it off and hope for something better next time.

But what about me? I'm not a Superman fan. I've been waiting all year, though, to be impressed. I've been eagerly anticipating the movie based on the trailers, the cast, the director, etc. Now that has all been ruined.

How am I supposed to sit there for 2 whole salty hours? Everytime I see the guy I'm gonna imagine him Forward 2-ing me into oblivion. When he shoots his eye lasers, I'll have flash backs to moments where I got hit by 8 heat visions in a row at full screen. When he flies, I'll remember when my attack string got interrupted by his super that one time.

Thank you, NRS, for giving me more phenomena to be catalysts for my panic attacks.

What you need to love is what superman stands for <3 he teaches us all to be Hero's
Our modern North American world needs a superman :(
Too bad the movie will surely be shit :'(

Run up to the projection room and break that greasy minimum wage nerd over your knee. Yell "YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" loud enough for the whole theatre to hear for bonus style points.

BONUS MISSION: Break the film reel in the same way.

That is horrible. Luckily I don't feel the same way. I mean I always hated Superman and I suppose Injustice didn't help... but at the same time I don't think it will effect my hype for the movie. I still cant wait to see it. 8 more days for me. :p

As a comic book fan I am entitled to like things and hate them at the same time due to how much I like them. It's a paradox but somehow it works.

So I like Batman & Superman, but I hate that they have so many comic books, but I still like and read those comic books (except for The Dark Knight, most redundant book ever).

I think Superman is a bit of a knob but I still like him because he's Superman.
Also I tend to get beaten a little bit by various characters as opposed to just one (although recently Scorpion has been a fucking pain).

I have faith in Chris Nolan. I believe in the new Superman film. My girlfriend is going to take me to see it two days after my birthday the 16th in iMax! Yay! I care lol. This game doesn't ruin too much for me though. Sorry you feel that way man.

I know... I hate to admit it... but the only reason I have faith in Man of Steel is because of Nolan...

Robin: "How'd you get so many good tools in Injustice, Batman?"
Batman: "The true crimefighter always carries everything he needs in his utility belt, Robin."

i never liked superman. from the time i was a kid and first got introduced to superheroes all the way to my adult years when i started liking different characters, some of which i grew up hating. my dislike for superman was always consistent because he bored me, and especially the fact that nobody could tell that Clark Kent was Superman when the only difference between the two were a pair of eyeglasses. however, Injustice has forced me to respect the character somewhat, and its all because of F+2,3. now if only he had that tool back in the early 90s, we may have one less terrible Shaq movie today
