If MK9 is any predictor, a day-one choice isn't necessarily a main.. Everyone has to try various characters against other great players and see what happens, and tech has to evolve. Also people that played a less-than-day-1 build will have to adjust to the patching.

So I'd say, just wait and see what happens. Otherwise REO would still be playing Mileena and CD Jr. would be playing disappointing characters that shall not be named .

I have gone from being mildly interested in Superman (I think hes a boring character) to greatly interested in him now that he's claimed to be bad. No offense to Death but I want to prove him wrong I still plan on just trying out a lot of chars at first and coming to my conclusions but character people claim are bad normally makes me more excited to use them.

In my opinion the "top" players who tested the game will be hollywood at first since they have more experience, maybe win a major and feel themselves over it, and as time goes by some of them will become washed up and people outside of the "MK Community" like SF4 and marvel players will become the new hollywood and talk shit.

Im not a top player but I will main one of the best zoners so maybe GL or Sinestro, one of the best rush-down Flash or Batman( or anyone better) and a super defensive char. so I will be maining 3 chars for diff styles and counter styles.

just to let everyone know: Me Denzell, and possibly Dab and Flawed will be going to UFGT9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, and we'll be playing injustice and mortal kombat. Now a lot of characters look very good to me and i'm hoping this game keeps a fairly good balance as well, I will be maining Deathstroke, but other chars that could become my main are batman, black adam, doomsday, and shazam, maybe raven too. Also mark my words: I will only be playing a max of 3 characters in tournament/ plan on being completely loyal to one main in tournament, so that will be something of a change for me bcuz all of you know me as a character specialist, but i'll try my best to stick with one. GGA 16 Bit, show vegas some of that GGA welcoming, we want to play a bunch of casuals with yall.

I'm doing something similar to this. I'm going to make 3 charts. The first will be made on day 1 after I try every characters specials and normals. The second will be done after the first major and a final chart somewhere after a year during a critical moment like an EVO or something. I will also make a top 10 and state why I think the character is there, lol. That should be funny looking back on.
