What "dont" you like about the game so far?

I know that NRS has already addressed a lot of the issues with interacables and I think stage transitions too. However whiff punishment was also something I noticed was hard.
Yes its very hard. I made really good reads and went to whiff punish with WW and the comp was still able to recover and combo me or poke me before I did it. Maybe the opponent whiffed moves recovers faster than whiff moves in MK. I really hope that not the case though. If it is than shitty players can throw stuff out for free and not worry about getting whiff punshed :/

I share the common dislikes....no dash canceling and back to block. Nrs should have stuck with a block button IMO. I can't say I played the demo that much though since I'm not a fan of the three characters available. I'll still get the game and learn it though

Not point in complaining too much about an old build. The one thing that irks me the most is the unblockable stage hazards. But, we can turn them off, so....

For the last time zoning is not going to be strong in this game. At first it may feel that way cuz in MK to deal with zoning as to dash block or dash d1 etc. This game will evolve just wait and see.
Exactly -- It reminds me of how people complained that it was impossible to get through Kitana's zoning early in MK9. Then people learned to use an aspect of MK9 metagame to get through zoning (dash blocking/ducking/d3) and now most people that fight Kitana are more afraid of 40%+ f2 punishes and cutter shenanigans than the fans.

Fast forward to Injustice, and people are scared that they can't use the same aspect of the metagame to beat zoners. However, this is ignoring the fact that there are large quick dashes (which can be timed between projectiles), air dashes, air mobility/diving attacks, sliding attacks that go under projectiles, medium-ranged attacks that can counter zoners from a bit inside midscreen, normals with large hitboxes (lex's jumping 3, wonder woman's b23), zoning parrys and counters for some characters, armor traits for some characters that can absorb hits as they move in, armored wallbounce moves with range for a bar, etc.

When you play the CPU on Very Hard it uses all of the above tactics to get in on you -- which is the point that Pig Of The Hut and Arturo were trying to make. But instead of learning the full metagame people are becoming depressed and jumping to conclusions because they can't use one(!) mechanic from MK9.

The only thing bugging me about the demo are the non-skipable outro scenes.

I seriously was not hyped for this game at all, I have little to no love for DC characters, but playing this demo has really got me looking forward to it. I thought stage transitions/clash animations were gonna take away from the gameplay, but they're the perfect time length as of right now, short and sweet.

I'm lovIng the fact every move, combo and special has frame-data attached in game as well as descriptions of what they do, didn't expect that in a demo at all.

The controls felt a little clunky for the first 20 minutes but once I got to grips with the style and mechanics of the game it all became very smooth, fluid and intuitive.

Literally only complaints are damage/damage scaling on some things (which is moot as they'll be fixed with full game) and the outro scenes you can't skip.

I can see where people are getting annoyed at no dash cancelling, if your first fighter was MK9, but I think how the dash system works within the general movement of the game is solid. This is looking like its going to be one hell of a fighting game.

Congrats NRS, your demo just made you another sale. I hope the online mode is as good as the rest of the game.

Edit: Forgot to mention my one other genuine gripe, which is the AI insta-reacting to every button pressed on Very Hard.

I hope you're aware that the A.I has the ability to read inputs and has zero reaction times. By the time your little finger is pushing the next button and your brain is trying to process the information, the A.I pulled a jedi on you.

I'd assume anyone that's been around fighting games long enough can tell the difference between tactics and reactions and be able to separate the two. From having sat and watched game testers play extended sessions, a lot of those tactics were programmed in to the AI. I'm not talking about being able to full punish a 10-frame-on-block move on reaction.

I learned from the AI the correct way to play Lex is instantly BF2 them during the startup of anything they do, including jump.

Good ones though, I'm talking about good ones that can't be punished. Not including using the bats to save you life Karried
If you are not using bats to keep Batman safe and to keep on the pressure, what the fuck are you using them for?

Injustice seems to be about picking the right option for the right time, there is no one tactic to rule them all, no universal safety of hiding behind the block button. No carelessly throwing out dashes or moves and trusting in block canceling to keep you out of trouble. and what might have worked 5 seconds ago, may not work now thanks to traits being on/off cooldown, meter situation, or stage interactions.

Batman's slide is a perfectly good forward advancing move that allows you to slide under projectile and move toward the opponent. Don't just throw shit out without thinking.

I said I want a move thats good that doesn't require the bats you tard. What if you don't have bats? I know bats are good for that reason but I want someone to give me a good advancing move that doesn't require you to use them or isn't punishable.

Dashing isn't really a huge problem but lex luthor and doomsday are retarded stupid. Doomsday just armors and rapes me in the corner every 5 seconds and lex just spams unblockable crap at me

Why should there be a move that allows you to get in for free with no risk or thought or set up? How does not thinking make this a better game?

Just seems like they've tried to make this a mix of different fighting games and put in game mechanics that don't fit at all.

Game feels very clunky and scrappy. Doesn't play smooth at all.

Lack of dash cancelling is dong.

I have limited experience with other fighting games but the Very hard bot seems to be blocking the first hit of my strings and hitting before the second hit comes out? Seems fucking stupid to me.

Because of how good some of the AA's are, combo-able uppercuts that lower hitboxes on an already whiff tastic JK and how stupid the dashing is, it makes rushdowns a pain in the ass. Very hard lex was spamming his charge whenever i tried to get in and it made it hell for bats.
Why is everybody complaining about the bats so much, they do 5% and can occasional save you from a fuckup, from what i've seen other characters have waaay better gimmicks.

Ok so hes got no moves to get in, all are unsafe/easily whiff punishable. They take out character traits and interactions so what does batman have? NOTHING. Thats pretty retarded if you ask me.

First, let me say that I do love it! I have been following the build-up and getting hype on this game since last year. I took off work for the demo. And I love it so far. I can't wait for the full game. I was stunned at how good it looked: just amazing. Injustice will be a game I main in 2013, for sure, on a short list of 2-3 titles.

All that said, I have a couple of simple items:

1) The mannish features on the fem characters. I wanted to main Wonder Woman, but it is rough with that jaw. This game looks SO great, yet they are messing it up with the female faces. Notice how Athena is beautiful looking? They can make good-looking fems, so why not? My wife is a cosplayer and this DOES matter. 40% of gamers are women, and overall a lot of women do not like to play games with ugly characters. They'll reject Injustice on that basis alone. PLEASE, NRS, please fix this before it is too late! Raven doesn't have to look distended.

2) I wish games, this one in particular, had more degrees of AI. Like something between Medium and Hard, something between Hard and Very Hard. Like Very Easy, Easy, Mild, Medium, Medium Hard, Hard, Harder, Very Hard, Insane. And AI that is based on real opponents' play, not retroactive impractical reads.
Lol where the shit did you get this statistic.

WiiFit does not make you a gamer.
