So I'm new here, obviously but I'm super stoked about injustice, I'm a huge fighting game fan always have been and NRS really impressed me with mk9. I downloaded both versions of the demo and even with trying to tweak the ps3s gamma and contrast to match the 360s auto high contrast the ps3 version has terrible lighting, and looks horribly blurry and washed over compared to the 360 version. The problem for me is that I hate the 360 for fighting games and almost always go ps3 but the difference is too much for me to get out of my mind if I got it on ps3. I'm not a stick player so I'm not really sure what to do tbh. I've always played fighters with a ps2 or ps3 controller.

That's not true at all but I suspected the 360 version would look better cause if I'm not mistaken they use a heavly modified unreal engine to make injustice and mk9 and unreal always looks better on 360. Ps3 is usually a far superior fighting platform however as the 360 literally has the worst Dpad known to man, how they have never fixed this with all the versions of the 360 released ill never know. Needless to say I'm sorta in a shitty position. I've never used one of the capcom sfIV fight pads before anyone got any pros/cons about it? My entertainment center is pretty far away from my couch and I'm worried about the cord length of fight pads.

Urgg it's so annoying I can literally pull off combos with no trouble on ps3 and when I try to do the same on the 360 pad it just fails 40% of the time.

If the graphics bother you that bad you can get a converter. I'm not sure how one works, tho.

Or you could learn how to play on the 360 controller or arcade stick.
It's just something you gotta get used to/adapt to without if messing up your game too much.

The good D-pad designs are patented. So are mini games during loading screens.

Comparison pictures? Usually one system is just brighter than the other.
I have no way of actually screen capping off my TV ATM so I cannot do comparison pics unfortunately. I can tell you though it is not just brighter although that is an issue as well. As I said before I spent almost half hour messing around with the ps3 contrast/brightness/gamma attempting to make it look like the 360 version but to no avail. The 360 does automatically have a much higher contrast for all games compared to PS3, but you can usually fix this with in game settings or TV settings. This game however just simply does not look as sharp on PS3 at all. Colours, clarity, backgrounds, etc all look superior on the 360.

lets be really serious here for a second, the input delay on ps3 MK was a joke. appeal to reason. make 360 tournament standard. it RUNS THE GAME BETTER AND IT LOOKS BETTER. dont tell me about the control, pads are available, converters, fight sticks, etc.

it makes no sense to me for ps3 to be tourny standard at all.

I would agree in this instance for sure, and this is coming from someone who never plays fighters on the 360.

So on another note I'm wondering what I should get pad wise for 360 then, a stick is a slight possibility but right now I'm only looking at pads, any suggestions? I've heard the SFIV pads have durability issues and issues with angle inputs with the d-pad.

Because this problem is gone with Injustice, better default controller.

The graphics on PS3 are fine, amazing actually. Your settings probably need adjusting because mine looks better than any game I've ever touched.

Obviously you read nothing I said before because though it does not look BAD on the ps3 per say, I'm literally running both versions at the same time right now (and have been all day) and the 360 version is way better. I've also explained I've messed around heavily with the AV setting on my tv and ps3 trying to get it to look close to the 360 and it isn't no matter what I do. 360 simply looks brighter, less muddy, has better background resolution and detail, Better lighting and textures compared to the ps3. As for frame rate I'm not too sure I do Not see any noticeable difference in fps on either version, so at least there is that.

Obviously you didn't read anything I said. Not having that problem in the slightest.

It's a demo though, so, cry about it I guess lol

i didn't say the graphics were bad. i said 360 graphics are better.

i might be wrong on this point but I was also under the impression that wireless dual shock 3 which is the default ps3 controller was not allowed in tournament?

I actually read everything you said and agreed with you that the ps3 version isn't bad, but it's also nowhere near as good as the 360 version.

Is that true? That's kind of weird, lol

For fighting games only I have always found there to be lag on the ps3 controllers, but better button layout etc.

I still play on Xbox though, I hate input lag.

Graphics wise I think they are pretty much the same, any discrepancy usually appears to be fan-wank.

I'm sensing a bit of fanboyism towards the 360. The PS3 version looks fine, there is no major difference, and if it's there its a small one. More or less the game runs at 60 FPS stably which is the main thing, not if the game is brighter on one system or not(again the difference if present is so small it isn't noticeable).

As far as I know it isn't, that said I wish I could use the ps3 controller on my 360 lol. Hence my whole creating this thread. Technically the 360 version is better but I've always used a ps2 pad (or ps3 if I'm use at home) for fighting games because the 360 pad is just the most godawful pad ever for fighting games. I'm playing both versions simultaneously ATM and I can PLAY the game far better and far more efficiently on ps3 due to the pad being just far far superior. My problem is the game simply runs and looks better on 360.
