The Pacquiao Marquez Fight

If you think Bradley beat PacMan your on crack. Anyone with 1/4th of a brain could see that Pac Man won that fight. It doesn't matter now anyway seeing as Floyd now has his reason to duck PacMan. MMA is the better sport these days.
Nobody on this forum knows more about boxing than I do...trust me!

You wouldn't be able to tell me how many rounds Manny actually won.

I suggest you stick to MMA

It's nothing anybody on TYM can tell me about boxing. I was an amateur boxer for 5 years, and I know my shit.

HBO was completely biased calling the fight. Like I said before, if you watched their telecast you would have thought Bradley some scrub on the street.

Where were these 5 international world renowned officials when Manny got his ass handed to him by Marquez in the 3rd fight, and Jaun was robbed?

The thing is Bradley did better than Marquez did in the 3rd fight.

Boxing is so corrupt it's not even funny. Those officials would've said anything if the money was right.
Bradley was on the run the entire fight against Manny. He had maybe two or three decent rounds. He did not win that fight, Idc how long you were an amateur boxer. It is an injustice to say that Bradley won that fight. It's all opinion but I watched it on PPV and was waiting for them to announce Manny as the winner and was completely blown away when Bradley got the nod.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate both sports.. I just don't agree with the way boxing is run. It's considered an option to fight the top contenders rather than a guarantee.. And so much of everything is about money, rather than the integrity of the sport. Promoters have far too much power and they willingly abuse it.

The Bradley decision + the Hopkins/Dawson debacle, along with the and the end of the Mayweather-Ortiz fight has soured me on the current state of the sport.

Not to take anything away from Marquez though.. That was one heck of a bomb he landed.
That MMA crap is all under one umbrella kinda like the WWE. Boxing is more freelance.

Lmao are you serious? Boxing is trash, they don't even have one solid promotion. It's a bunch of irrelevancy in weight classes and belts that nothing is credible anymore. You have maybe 5 or 6 popular fighters that will send the sport packing once they hang it up. Boxing fanboys need to face facts that your sport is corrupt.

On the run? lol

Boxers have made a career on fighting from the back foot. Hell, Muhammad Ali, Roy Jones, Floyd Mayweather, Willy Pep are all Hall of Famers that fought/fight "on the run".

You don't even know how to score a fight, so how could you give an accurate analysis on who won any fight?

An injustice? lol The decision from Manny's previous fight was worse. It's only seen that way in public because Manny got the short end of the stick against Bradley.

Why do you assume I don't know how to score a fight? You think you're some sort of pro boxing analyst because you were an amateur boxer for 5 years? pls

Boxing and I have a long history prior to my amateur exp, and boxing is the only sport I ever really liked. I know all the particulars, history, corruption, etc.

People who know how to score a fight had it 115-113 for Manny or Bradley. Neither fighter pitched a shut-out. It all comes down to who you thought won the close rounds.

Having scored the fight 117-111 for either fighter? pls

Who said that? Give me quotes and news articles where people legitimately said that. Because I'm pretty sure Tyson carried the sport of Boxing when Ali retired.
I don't have them on hand but I'll be happy to search and post for you.

FYI Manny just got KO'd lol

I didn't say Pacquiao dominated the fight. But he definitely won, I don't think more than 3 rounds were close.

WBO, not HBO. mr boxer doesnt know his boxing organizations?

Go for it, but either way your sport would've been dead if Tyson didn't come along.
I don't think so bro. Floyd Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoya are prime examples. They are both huge fighters in the sport that grossed as much revenue as Tyson, and neither fighter is as controversial as Mike. Not to mention neither guy is a KO artist.

Yeah Mayweather and De La Hoya carried the sport too. Boxing never has a consistent amount of boxers who are able to sell PPVs like Mayweather has. Guys like Pacquiao, Tyson Mayweather and De La Hoya come along every few years. These guys are the reason that boxing still has coverage these days. Who else is relevant? No one, Boxing would be no where without the big names.

Fuck the WBO bro. Belts mean nothing in boxing nowadays.

I'm talking about HBO's commentary on the fight.
yeah because commentary is far more important than real, tangible achievements...

CRUM, do you dislike boxing as a sport or just find it irrelevant as it is in the status quo?

I like the sport. I just don't like when fans of Boxing try to tell me I don't know crap about the sport or that it's better than MMA.
