If MK10 is an Amazing Game, Would You Do It All Again?

Over the last year and a half we have witnessed the (re)birth of a community; with all its triumphs, struggles, rivalries, surprises, heroes and villians (and trolls). Month after month people have thrown hours of their time and copious amounts of energy into trying to reach new levels every day, giving everything and going to amazing lengths to get that extra edge.

Tears have been shed, much sweat has poured, and friends have been made and lost, all in service of the battle between the Earth/Netherrealms.

So my question to you is this: with everything you have put into MK9, do you have the energy to do it again for MK10? If a new game is released, and it's superb.. Will you take the plunge once more?

Or have you put so much of your heart, soul and time into MK9 that you don't have gas left in the tank to do it all again?

Yes, it is a serious question -- especially for people that have invested a lot of money and time into travelling to tournaments, training multiple times a week, making videos, hosting weekly MK shows,organizing events, and generally devoting large portions of their lives to trying to become (or stay) a top player or community leader.

Obviously for some of us it hasn't been as big of a commitment, but for people like 9.95, Pig, Blake, Mr. Mileena, the bros., THTB, soonk, FrothyOmen etc. it's a pretty serious decision to make.

I already know the answer is 'yes' for me; but I've been mostly casual and haven't put in as much as some people. So I figured I'd ask

im more exited for Mk10 than Injust, even though i am gonna buy both games at some point.

i have only been a MK player for around half a year, but i do love it. used to play tekken 5 alot.
but nothing beats MK9 in terms of fighting games, so yes i would do it with number 10 aswell!

I dunno, the things I love the most about MK9 are the nostalgic stages, characters, special moves, if they remove most of the cast I like and add in all these tools like bo rai cho and tanya and all those generic mk 1-3 wannabe characters I might not care. Depends who all is still in the game for me. I love mk9 for whos in it, whats in it and what they do, not how it plays (that's just a bonus)

And of course I'm going to buy Mk10, i love MK. I stopped playing MK9 because it's garbage. But I love Mortal Kombat regardless. I really do hope MK10 will fix MK9's mistakes, and I hope NRS has a better understanding of what's wrong with mk9, and when and how to patch the game if needed. we dont need patches every 3-4 weeks

The more accurate question is: If MK10 is garbage, will we care? As long as there is MK, we will be here. And since MK9 is "garbage", it's proof that we'll be here regardless

Mk9 is not garbage.

If MK10 doesn't have the classic roster and does what they normally do, which is get rid of everyone. I will only play it casually. I decided to play the game competitively because of my faves being in the game and it just being a super fun game overall.

MK10 will hopefully be a remarkable improvement over MK9 in terms of online, gameplay, balance, options etc. Mk9 has its problems, but it was a step in the right direction and I enjoyed the game.
