Shoutouts to Team GGA for each member that went made top 16 and 2 of them in top 8. More GGA made top 16 than any other scene and tying with VSM (3). However, two of our guys eliminated two of their guys. Dizzy over Riu48 3-0 and 16 Bit vs Reo 3-1 DAAAAAMMMN.
Poor Young Tommy Wafflez, if only he play WoundCowboy like he did in the EGP house things may have been different

That was the best MK9 tournament I've ever watched, even though I wish Detroit hadn't used Kabal. Congrats to everyone with special props to

Kabal didn't win this, Detroit did, otherwise right now if PL got through to GF, we'd have "KL is #1" threads across the forums all over again with even more baseless conjecture than last year.

nah, the only reason people say Kabal is number one is because of the consistent victories Kabal has. That's the base for everyone's reasoning. Sure the people that use him are talented.

these players are some of the "best in the world" hands down. You really can't doubt that at all, especially with how tough U.S.A tournaments are. MLG anaheim blew every other mk9 tournament away when it came down to just pure tough competition and major hype.

a tournament with full HD streaming could be as tough as a tournament with 1 tv and 20 guys, of course is more enjoyable and hyper like the last tournament. i do not doubt the level of the mk usa scene wich is great and "probably" the best of the world, i just dont like when said "best of the world" where is no proof of that, simple. I guess we can all say it after EVO.

I hope no one discredits anyone's victories with cop out excuses.

I already see 'Laggy Monitors', 'Continuation', 'Bad seeding', 'X or Y was going for Babies' and best of them
all 'I didn't take them serious so I lost' excuses on the rise.

I'm also surprised by the fact no one is discussing the insane amount of blowups and upsets, but I guess it's settling in still and we will probably have more discussion when te competitors get home and start posting or it will be ignored.

PL/DJT were the MVPs of that Tourny IMO.

Hate it when you get childish comments about OP characters and crying about Kabal etc. Everyone on the stream was pathetically saying Kung Lao is still top tier and needs a nerf etc, after CDJR got destroyed.. blah blah then insert random excuse here____ . Grow some balls and take it on the chin.

Detroit did what he had to do and out played his opponents to win. No one can take that away from him. Congrats to Detroit!

Mad respect to PL for nearly making Grand finals. He was so unlucky not to come back from being down a couple of games.

EDIT:Oh and Tom Brady on the commentary was world class stuff. Truly professional and great to watch. Shout outs to Tom!

That was an awesome tournament. When i heard on the stream Reo had been eliminated i said "What? No Kabal main in finals?" I could be wrong about that but i though Detroit mained Shang Tsung.
Congrats to Detroitballin on the win. 10k for a game is nothing to laugh at.

ohoh! Guys that was amazing, intense and incredible!!! One of the best tournament with the hype i've ever seen. And by the way this tourney was unexpected!. PL is come back, Tyrant blew up Reo 3-0, Pig of the Hut has a misfortune twice!!! when he played with Riu48 and PL (2-3 against them) (sorry for my english). It was a pity! I rooted for Pig and not only, but i wanted to see how Riu would play with you Pig, because Sonya is my favour =). Of course congrats to Detroit! Keep it up! I thought you will pick Shang and u'll fight. DJT surprized us))).
