Video/Tutorial X Ray threat to condition the Stand block, Also F3 (VIDEO)

"Strength isn't everything"
Hi Guys.

Here is a short video of a few things I have been working on with Skarlet.

:fp:fp:bp - :ex Dagger Cancel does not jail the opponent in standing block, they are free to crouch block, and if they anticipate your :r:bp string, they will poke you out of your pressure, you can't hit confirm their stance, you have to input :r:bp before you see it as the start up is slow.

But...

The stand block should be 100% Guaranteed when you have :x , as the :x if safe on a standing block at -2 with push back, it also hits overhead, so either way, your safe.

This means, the opponent has to stand block when you have :x or they will eat it, this means the guess work should be taken out of a 112 reset, as they should be standing to take the slide or :ex dagger in fear of the :x.

It is only 27% damage, but, when the opponent only has 30% damage left, they are really rolling the dice, as a knock down from a slide on a reset means you still have full meter, if they take the :ex dagger cancel you will bag another :r:bp string and still possibly get your slide knockdown, and if they get hit by the :x, its game over.

I have also explained the :r:fk string and how you can do some Johnny C type :r:fk stumbling as it's -1 on block, and can always follow with a :fp:bp, and on block you can :ex armour dash through any punish the opponent might do.

Cheers.

I don't know, Lui Kang's :x is such a good footsie tool, plus it launches and it's + on block.
I meant as guaranteed unbreakable damage. Liu's misses up close, Skarlet's hits (although there is a spot where it can go over a ducking opponent, somewhere at d3 distance).

Yea, her :x is never supposed to be done upclose, it's main purpose is to force the stand block on resets, essentially making the slide free.

I use it to end a round off of a dash, because the opponent knows that her overhead can be reacted to and mostly blocks low to block the slide.

Where art thou, MKX Skarlet?
Great video. I agree heavily that the more people start to understand Skarlet's mindgames and blockstrings, the more powerful she'll become.

I fully intend to showcase that potential at Evo. UFG, I hope we can showcase her together, possibly holding hands in a heterosexual way.

Does she have any block strings that build at least one bar? She must do... I just thought you could launch an ex dagger, then go into said block string because you are guaranteed a slide knock down unless they try to duck to avoid another dagger or slide in which you could hit confirm into a XRay.

I dunno about the x-ray after 112, the last overhead hits on the 36th frame which should be enough time to notice. Even the first hits on the 23rd frame. If you have 3 bars you could attempt the overhead and then break if necessary. But, I love the video, so many Skarlet videos lately. :)
