My sad pathetic setup. I just rent a room here, so I don't have much space to have a nice tv and stuff. This just sits next to my closet and door.

How would you compare your qanba stick to your Madcatz one? Is there any difference be honest.
The Qanba is entirely better. First it works on both systems right out of the box,PS3 and xbox360 so no matter where your going or what console your playing on your good to go.
The cable iself is more flexible than the Madcatz one and therefore wraps up easier.
The storage compartment is much more roomy and the cable fits into it far easier than the Madcatz one does. It should be noted that the Madcatz cable is also a bit longer.
The underside of the Qanba has a felt surface so it wont slip off your lap. It also has rubber feet if you play on a table.
Both the Madcatz and the Qanba use the same Sanwa sticks and buttons so there is no difference there.

cons of the Qanba:
Qanba is not licensed by Sony or Microsoft. Sony or Microsoft could one day(although this highly unlikely) make it not work with a firmware update.
It has a Plexi glass covering which is a little more prone to scratching than the Madcatz sticks, but as long as dont brutalize it and wipe down with soft cloth now and again it should be fine. Mine is still good.

This is not a con for me, but some people dont like having the start button on the face and prefer it on the side. I HATE where Madcatz places the start/select buttons. It seems like a good idea on paper to have them out of the way, but in practice its just annoying to have to reach around the back everytime. The Qanba has it right in front of me.

Thank you bro! I needed some feedback from a person that has experience with both fightsticks. I've been wanting to get one really badly and could not figure out which is better. I knew they both had the same materials but people were still saying Madcatz sticks were better. But once again thank you. One more question how much did your Qanba cost?

That is the thing. The Qanba is definitely more expensive. Average price is about $180 and thats IF you can find one. First forget about finding them in the US. They just arent here. Your gonna have to get them from overseas. I know a place in England and a place in China that carry them. However, in addition to the cost of the stick itself, the shipping is not cheap. All told it cost me about $250 to get mine to my door.

Also Im not knocking Madcatz. They are the tournament standard stick. They are solid, reliable, easily modded, easily dual modded to work on both systems and replacement parts are readily available. They are also cheaper and a hell of alot easier to find.

Yea but I heard with dual modding madcatz it can be about the same as a qanba.

Quite true. The main selling point with the Qanba is that its dual system right out of the box. The Madcatz is not but can be easily dual modded. The stick modder Gumowned is almost always at major tournaments and he is the best at dual modding TE's. He charges $80 to do it. If you buy one to get it dual modded get the 360 one. They are just easier for him to mod.

EDIT: I did just find a sweet deal on Qanba Q4rafs. Apparently Eightarc either now owns Qanba or is their US distributor:

Man I totally forgot about this thread. Anyways I finally upgraded my TV. MK is beautiful in 1080p.

Put it on 720 (I know, blasphemy) and gamemode. It'll have less delay. I do it with mine and I've noticed an improvement!
