Texas Showdown (evo qualifier) REsults!!

This guy looks kind of tuff...
So Texas showdown just wrapped up. Congratulations to Showtime for taking 1st over me! And to everyone who made it out. Unfortunately it could not be streamed. Which sucks. Had a nice stage though.



Thanks to everyone who supported and those who came down like mr. Mileena elektic pboardplayer Starcharger etc.
It was over all a fun tournament. Glad Texas took this :)

Congrats to all the players! Im a little shocked at the results but that means it was a great showing of MK9.

Shame on this event not streaming hardly anything, not to mention MK9. This event should never be tied into Evo ever again, unless this event gets a swift kick to the pants and gets with the times. Embarrassing!

well we did get some good stream time for top 16. But salty they cut us off after pulling 2200 viewers for mk9. And they took us off for blazblue which is not a evo game. Either way better than nothing. Some good pool matches were also streamed. I'll find the stream links for the archives and post them later.

The only good thing this weekend was that IPL4 was on. IPL4 was 100x more enjoyable/entertaining then texas showdown from a stream monster perspective.

I don't think anyone knows the kabal match up as much as Showtime. I fought many other cages and blew them up on the past. Showtimes cage is serious. Plus he's my training partner. So we know each other to well it always goes either way.

Wow, that's pretty cool, cause I heard you have one of the best Kabals out there behind REO. Maybe the whole thing on "match ups" is wrong and it really is down to the character and player.

I missed the stream, any chance of archived footage?

regardless, you guys, the fans, our community along with other games deserved LOTS better. this is so sad & frustrating.

lol the power went out in the venue but not in the bathroom. There was a match mid match being played and was top 16 play. We had to finish it there. Only one but still Damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

I wish I could have seen all these matches on stream... what a shame...

Also, having to play in the restroom is dumb as hell, nobody in this community should take that. Those setups should have never touched the inside of the restroom. Seriously...

Many people stated that they were played (just 1 match) in the bathroom, hopefully someone took a picture because this tournament was so poorly ran. Not fair for the viewers especially.

Did you guys hear? The entire ECT4 tournament will be held in bathrooms. The main games will be in the public bathrooms downstairs and the smaller games will be in private hotel room bathrooms. Streams are pending. Tip bucket guaranteed. :16Bit

Daaaaayum, that is messed up! The players certainly deserve better than this. What if I was playing as Rain and all the flushing around me screwed up my timing? LOL, I kid but seriously, someone should be ashamed of themselves.

On another note, congrats to all the top placers and entrants.
