Holy shit. The fact that this is actually something GOOD is so surreal to me. Nothing against you, by any means; I'm just so used to seeing people try way the hell too hard to break new ground with Cyber Sub, and ultimately just break my fucking head when I have to clean it up later.

This is the best piece of tech this character has seen in months (well, aside from my reset, but only a few people know about that as of yet). The timing on the NJP is a little strict, because the divekick will actually connect if you don't hit them at the proper height, but at least you can't get punished for dropping the combo, as is the case with every TOTALLY SWEET NEW CORNER COMBO I've seen for this character. I was able to get it down pretty quickly, and from what I've seen so far, it's a practical, consistent combo.

Very nice find. I'm honestly impressed, and it's very rare for someone to impress me with this character.

Also, for anyone who wants the inputs

2 1 freeze, JIP 2 1 1+2, NJP [far divekick], uppercut, 3 4, 3 3 slide -- 50%

There you have it, 50% even. Off a JIP, it's 52%, which is absolutely obnoxious. I'm going to try adapting this into an X-ray combo, if possible. I'll be sure to post my findings here if I turn up anything worthwhile.

That definitely isn't going to combo into an X-ray... I played around with this a little, and you can't even connect a 1 or a F2. You're essentially stuck with 3 for the finisher.

To be, honest, this combo's good, but the timing after the uppercut is very strict, and there's a good chance to drop it there.
Personally, I'm more comfortable with consistently landing the bangport 50. I guess if you really had the boulders to go for this, to each his own.

Worth about as much on this forum as Monopoly money is worth at Wells Fargo.

This combo is more consistent than 90% of what you've posted on this board, and unlike yours, dropping this doesn't result in a full combo punish just because you were off by one frame. The worst that can happen to you here is hitting them too deep with the NJP, which will cause the divekick to connect, drop your combo at 34% and cause you to recover safely. This isn't the end of the world.

After that, it seriously becomes every uppercut catch combo in the game. Anyone who's ever played Rain or Ermac will have NO problem whatsoever with that link. It's child's play.

Awesome combo! I always run the 45% in the corner, meterless. An extra 5% (or 7% with a JIP, courtesy of Altaire) and still not having to burn a bar is amazing. Great find!!

As far as situation goes, its not rare to find your opponent frozen near the corner. Really you only have to be close enough to to connect a NJP.

EDIT: I can't seem to land the 34 consistently...but this says more about my execution rather than the difficulty of the combo.

EDIT NUMBAH TWO: Trick is to do the 34 later than you think. That's how I think it should be...but the 33 is another challenge to work on, still...omitting the 33 gives 47&.

Either way, 40%+ is really good damage output.

I think thats a bit harsh, I thought J360's U4 Bomb Crossover was fucking excellent, along with the fact that you will arguably land more mid-screen combo's than corners.

Don't forget that this is a Bottom-Mid Tier character who needs all the help he can get from the community's pool of ideas, and I don't think anyone here should be turning away anything that is brought to the CSZ table, but maybe that is just me as I don't care how ''rare it is for someone to impress you with this character''.

And? When did I say the U4 bomb crossup reset isn't good? I think it's great; I gave him props for it as well, so don't even try to tell me I've ever downplayed it. I just think finding a realistic way to boost his BnB corner damage by SIX PERCENT is a bigger deal. The only issue I have with J360's crossup reset is that it's extremely difficult to time it if your opponent rolls out, and you really have nothing to deter them from doing so. Nothing except my reset, that is, and that's actually the same reason I think J360's reset is so good: Once they respect both options, it becomes a guessing game, because J360's crossup reset beats many wakeups my reset will not, while my reset can't be escaped by blocking, jumping out or rolling. I actually thought it was really cool that he developed the crossup U4 bomb reset completely independent of mine, yet they compliment one another so well.

If my guide isn't done by the end of the week, I'm just going to post the reset here. I've been saving it for the guide since November, but now that I've gone public about it, I can only keep hiding it for so long. All I'm going to tell you is that the greater reset amounts to 68% damage. It IS an escapable reset, but the only way to beat it is by doing a wakeup, and if Cyber Sub blocks it, he can still reset you. The way it works is comparable to Maxter's corner reset with Noob: He can D4 to pin you on a portal if he thinks you're going to block or jump out, or he can block your wakeup to pin you on it if he thinks you're going to try and get out with an invincible wakeup. It's a straight 50-50, and he resets you as long as he guesses right. This reset works almost EXACTLY the same way, except it's possible from midscreen. I won't go into further detail, as I don't want to spoil it too much, but it'll be posted for all to see by sunday at the very latest.

Bold words from a guy who dropped the character after months of complaining about all the buffs he needs, by the way.

I'm still working on getting it 100% consistent, but it's absolutely possible. The trick to landing this combo is 1) just barely nicking them with the NJP and 2) uppercutting as soon as possible. If the NJP hits them too "deep", so to speak, the divekick won't whiff them; you need to contact them with only the very edge of the hitbox. Furthermore, if you're too late on the uppercut, you won't launch them as high, so you have less time to connect with the 3 4. Once the 3 4 is out, it's pretty easy from there, but the 3 3 slide can STILL drop if you're too late with either the uppercut or the 3 4. It's just juggle mechanics 101: The 3 3 won't connect if the 3 4 doesn't launch them high enough, 3 4 won't launch them high enough if the uppercut doesn't, and the uppercut won't launch them high enough if it comes out too late.

I'm still using my 47% BnB or 37% corner bomb trap in a real match setting until I'm sure I can do this consistently enough, but I think it's absolutely possible with enough practice; I just haven't had a whole lot of time to work with it lately.

Wow im really late on this, but i spent about an hour yesterday at revolution x trying to re-create an x-ray reset similar to checks CSZ combo in the Morph Back combo video and Digimons corner reset. And my setup was the Exact same thing as PimpimJims. Heres two things i came across while working the kinks out of the combo:

1. The NJP must be done very early in order for the dive kick to whiff and cause the cross up. If timed correctly you can get an x-ray out but that is the hardest part about the combo.

2. In order to land a hit after uppercut consistantly you have to uppercut as late as possible after the bounce, basically when the character is at the peak of the bell curved bounce. This will enable enough time for CSZ to turn around and do many things. Ive been able to land 1 2 and 3 after the uppercut so he might have even more damage accesible.

Aside from that this combo is waaaay easier than you guys think and is definitly worth investing a bit of time into learning for matches. Once again Good stuff pimpimjim and if i find any additions to your setup ill post em here.
