Nice. I'm just starting to get my bearings; it's really overwhelming but having fun so far. I'm going to hit the game hard after EVO and will be down for some games for sure. What character(s) do you play?KI is amazing and Id still gladly play with anyone interested
My main is Aganos who quickly became my favorite big body of all time but I also have a very average to below average Arbiter and Gargos I learned for funNice. What were some of the major differences? I did not play regularly back when it was still a DH game, all I heard was season 1 characters had some busted stuff such as Sadira infinites and Jago just dominating in every categoryI really enjoyed the game when Double Helix was the developer the game felt super unique but after Iron Galaxy took over I liked it less and less.
You heard right. DH version was fun, but fundamentally broken. The manual system, unbreakable combos, safe counter breakers etc. What were some of the major differences? There are still scenarios that allow manuals though were you just able to do them way more? Also safe counter breakers lol, no thanksYou heard right. DH version was fun, but fundamentally broken. The manual system, unbreakable combos, safe counter breakers etc.
none, but the support and interface of Steam are way better , so, Steam version all the way !Any difference between the Microsoft Store and Steam versions?
Is there still a free demo or trial version on the Microsoft Store? And I assume development for the game is done and no more content is being added; thus the "bring it back" hashtag?none, but the support and interface of Steam are way better , so, Steam version all the way !
agreed .... tried to enjoy KI, but, it's too much combo focused, very exagerated on hits numbers, ultra combos on sceen, etc, so, it's too much fast paced .... instead of heavy neutral/footsie game as others fighting games, as Tekken, SF, MK etc .... so , this kills any hype for this excessive gameplay mechanics that KI so much valorize , and the game becomes dull boring to follow up at competitive level, indeed ...could never get into KI. It just missed all the marks for me somehow. I find it not only boring to play but absolutely unwatchable as a spectator. I hope they can fix it if they ever make a sequal.
I believe so , that there is still a free to play demo indeed , to download , at MS Store, yeah .... and the bring back, is more about because the game , somehow, was abandoned by Evo and other major tourneys, since is almost as an "niche" fighting game franchise, that , despite being high quality on gameplay and network, is not a direct concorrent to great series as Tekken and Street Fighter, so, is not seens as profitable enough for people to dedicate years to follow on itIs there still a free demo or trial version on the Microsoft Store? Hmmm... it also uses rollback netcode, does it not? I also recall it being at Majors for years, considering it launched in 2013 with the Xbox One.I believe so , that there is still a free to play demo indeed , to download , at MS Store, yeah .... and the bring back, is more about because the game , somehow, was abandoned by Evo and other major tourneys, since is almost as an "niche" fighting game franchise, that , despite being high quality on gameplay and network, is not a direct concorrent to great series as Tekken and Street Fighter, so, is not seens as profitable enough for people to dedicate years to follow on it
But if they "fix it" it will no longer be Killer Instinct, though.could never get into KI. It just missed all the marks for me somehow. I find it not only boring to play but absolutely unwatchable as a spectator. I hope they can fix it if they ever make a sequal.
yep, it uses .... people gave compliments to the netcode, saying was one of the best at timeHmmm... it also uses rollback netcode, does it not? I also recall it being at Majors for years, considering it launched in 2013 with the Xbox One.
Windows Store version can cross-play with Xbox players.Any difference between the Microsoft Store and Steam versions?
I think there is a free version that has rotating characters that you can play/try free and purchase separately if you want them permanently. The whole game is on sale a lot; think I got it for $15 or something. Looks like it's $9.99 for the Definitive Edition on the Microsoft Store right now :OIs there still a free demo or trial version on the Microsoft Store? Nope, not last I read. I'm only recently getting involved in these things but looks like cross-play is a Microsoft perk. And you don't need Xbox Live for the PC version like you do for the console version, so no worries there either if that's a consideration to get it on Steam over the Windows Store.@hatyr No crossplay in the Steam version?
