Aquaman Trait Bug allows for "Aquaman Trait Combos"

Tom Brady has showcased a big weakness and flaw with Aquaman. His trait is to allow him to block or ricochet anything that hits his trait... however, that is not the case here. In this video, Tom shows that opponents can actually perform "Aquaman Trait Combos" against Aquaman. This is surely something to be aware of when playing Aquaman...

Trust me, I'm a doctor
I guess I'm an idiot because if that's the way it's meant to work, what's the point of the trait?
Most combos aren't like that one where it's all done standing. Trait lets you stop yourself from being launched, which does cut a lot of combos short.

Still, I don't think folks should be taking unmitigated hits through block when using it either. At least apply damage scaling based on the combo.

Thank you for clearing that up and I completely agree with your second statement.

In most MUs I wouldn't dare press 4 as aquaman unless i was ready to immediately pushblock.

Then again, without comparing it to I1 aquaman trait, is that really the worst thing in the world? It's essentially a 1 bar breaker that is way better than 2 bar air dodging out of juggle state

... plus, it's not like they need the bar for mb trident rush anymore 4Head

Im confused. I was unaware that Aquaman is supposed to lose more damge during trait then he would if he took the combo. If Aquaman is supposed to lose a lot more damage then he would for the combo as punishment then I guess I was confused on how his trait works now.
I think youre just confused on how to use his trait properly. In all your examples you traited a string into a MB ender, all on the ground. None of your examples were using trait to avoid getting launched into an optimal full damage combo, in which case you would eat the full damage from their launching move or a B3 or something, rewarding yourself by avoiding the subsequent damage that would follow. If youre using his trait incorrectly by randomly popping it during blockstrings, you will be punished.

He just did that to show you the issue. The trait is used while you're getting hit to escape the combo, forcing you to take the chip of the rest. But when "the rest" does like triple chip and more damage than getting hit, its really unfair.

Wow, if that really IS how they intended it to work, I guess that's it for me and Aquaman. :(

Beware my power.
Okay he takes damage on the last attack in trait, but he now also has the ability to break out of aerial combos with 2 meters making aquaman virtually uncomboable and extremely good on paper.

This trait function shouldn't be an issue imo. It's making you think before you activate your trait

Where is crossplay?
So, is there a real advantage to activating trait anymore? From what I'm reading here it doesn't seem worth it

Ok man somebody please make a video on how to use it properly. I still do get it after reading and labing. It's frustrating.

At 3:50 @16 Bit talks about it but I still don't get it.
Dealing with mix ups and such make it seem useless. Maybe it's just my unfamiliarity with the game.
