I remember when Raiden used to be in MKX. Shame they patched him out of the game. He was fun to watch.
Oh don't be a negative Nancy, Raiden is alive and kicking. Sure, most of the cast is stomping instead of kicking, but don't count him out. Nivek's Raiden is great proof of that.

I also want to see if Jaxs BnBs were harder back in the day, or is it just that we were getting used to the whole run cancel mechanic.
Jax's bnb were inconsistent af. Thats why Heavy weapons was the best because you could rc into 12 ex dash punch combo which was doable

Death Metal and Trance
Double Flame Aura combos? ~47% for one bar into 15% chip??? ARMORED EXTELEPORT WAT. I'd hella be into this. Also, if we could get vanilla meta game too when no one knew how to deal with Grandmaster, plzkthx :D

When you compare launch MKX to current MKXL, I appreciate the balancing a lot more than I used to. Characters like Reptile, Kitana and Takeda have received changes that turned them from really bad to quite good. Other characters like Raiden getting some much needed nerfs (the damage and option select were fun while they lasted) was also a good idea. In general I feel like the game has greatly benefitted from patches.

That's big if you to say, I'd be salty af if I played Raiden.

Launch Raiden was good because of stuff that is pretty dumb on any character frankly. A 6-frame mid that leads to great chip, great meter building and a full combo on hit? Oh my. The option select was gonna go either way, no characters should be able to eliminate risk on a risky attack, especially one that leads to such good damage.

The 50% 1 bar combos too were far too much if you compare it to what the rest of the cast could do at launch. I'm happy with current, non-dumb Raiden.
