"Canon" refers to the storyline match ups that make sense. I'm looking for the top players of each character in the game to form canon MUs for all to sit back and enjoy purely for entertainment and fun

During a match (that's like a 2-0 blow out) I'm gonna have m2dave appear on the screen pre recorded video/animated gif and it'll have audio recorded of m2dave saying "toasty fools" and first stream monster that types full caps "START" activates a boss battle . Stream monster vs a boss I have pre chosen ft1 for a great prize

You might add Liu Kang vs Raiden, as a reference to MK9. Or Dark Emperor Liu Kang vs Dark Raiden (these skins exactly) for MKX ending and possibly canon MK11 fight.

Also, in original canon in Mortal Kombat 4 Liu Kang is the one who defeated Shinnok. You might consider this match up as well.

Even though it never happened in canon, there is an arcade ending where Liu Kang's spirit goes vs his reanimated body, so the mirror matchup between human form and a revenant form could be nice.

If the game allowed it, as a fanboy I would have suggested to dedicate an entire sub-series for Liu Kang's matchups in this thing of yours that you are doing.

Something like "Legacy of the Champion" where he goes vs Goro, Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn and Shinnok. But unfortunately the game doesn't have two out of these four *cough*buthasshittyhorrormovieguests*cough*.

In MK9 during tournament Liu Kang defeated Ermac, Scorpion and Quan Chi as well. The fight with Scorpion was even mentioned in the MKX comics.

Takeda is Liu Kang's fanboy confirmed.

Also, Liu Kang and Kitana were fighting in MK9, that one fight which triggered Romeo & Juliette sub-story.

That had a really sad ending though.
