Just going through todays thanksgiving thread i found this
Remember NRS designed all this variations for some kind of counterpicking purpose, which nobody cares about as of now. If people want pressure/zoning/whatever they'd really just swtich character not variation
In fact probably for 90% of the cast 2 out of 3 variations are totally or nearly useless.
So heres comes my point about Kotal which sees all 3 variations effectively represented at tournaments and, unlike Sub-Zero, who is often used as a counter-pick, KK players are mostly loyalists. Which brings us to conclusion that Kotal Kahn is, in fact, the best-designed character of MKX right now and probably a perfect representation of what NRS were trying to achieve.

That got me thinking - is this really accurate? I mean yes Sub sees that tournament play, but only as Grandmaster. So one can say, that only 33,3% of Sub Zero is actually good. Which is... i dont know. Bad?Sub-Zero making it back to normal form in MKX after becoming a tournament viable lethal killing machine.
