our favorite Police brutality Kombatant: Stryker for KP2/3?

I know he is not a fan favorite. but he is from MK3 and i feel with the right kit he could be a very fulfilling Kombatant for MKX!




here is my ideas for Stryker in MKX:

Stryker:



Police Brutality: Variation 1


Added Ranged in with nightstick

OH to low hits with Night Stick strings...

his Low dash can be MB into juggle follow up


Bad Cop: Variation 2


Uses Stun gun as special link to juggle combos

his stun gun can restand on certain strings EX

has a Nightstick Stung gun Grab

up close and personal rushdown


Swat: Variation 3


Stun grenades come into play with this variation, all heavy weapons make aperance in this balaced version.(does not have to reload grenades)if so he gets 3 of them and has combos to safely reload...

Stun Grenades juggle for extra combo extensions

IAPS instant air double pistol shot.

his ground Pistol fires 3 shots as supposed to jacqui's 4 hit hand cannon

has a low Pistol shot single shot

has a OH grenade.

tell me what you think?

Ah. The Batman of MK.

Never been a Stryker fan, but at least MK9 somewhat redeemed him for me. Gave him a second nod.

That said, many of his tools and specials have been broken down to use for multiple other characters. Demo Sonya, Cassie (all variations - nightstick use, and pistol shot), and Heavy Weapons Jax. The only thing really available to him is the stun gun.

Not to mention he's been nodded at with his Kombat Modifier. I just don't see it happening in this game, but I've been wrong before so...

Pretty good ideas nevertheless. :)

Stryker is my favorite character, but I really don't see him being playable happening in Kp2 or otherwise. And why is there a cyber Stryker? That'z not Stryker lol. I would drop Goro down to secondary status for my prince of the police. Maybe MK11 with the revenant/Kotal/Earthrealm dynamic.

As much as I hate to go into a thread and be a downer, I'll respectfully agree with @Espio on all accounts.
There are so many other, more interesting characters that people would like to see return that I can't see it happening.

Nah. We dont need more oh low strings. And the thing with what you said, its too much copy and paste. Generic cop is generic.

off topic: anyone here besides me wanna see a Muay Thai fighter in mkx?

you know, a fighter with a dark tone and commanding presence. One can dream sometimes right ..

I personally can't stand Stryker and I really doubt that he will be in kp2 since he its historically not a very popular character in general.

i thought the same about Johnny cage, but look how many fans hes got, surprisingly Stryker had alot of mains in MK9 that i remember.

Well i like the idea of Stryker in MKX among others, hope some others feel the same about him, don't just dismiss him cuz he is a cop;)

i have so many characters i want, i wont be let down...

Smoke, Shang, Cyrax, Kabal, Baraka, Rain, Fujin, LiMei, Noob, Sektor, Stryker, Sindel, Sareena, Scarlet, Freddy. im bound to get at least 2 of them:)

@Tim Static will you please close this thread.... its a waist of time and space, i really don't think anyone likes Stryker and thus i don't think he will even make it to KP2....?

No, i'll keep it open. @Scott The Scot needs to stop taking threads off topic & mind his own business. If he doesn't like the thread, or the person making the thread, I suggest he moves on to another. No user needs the approval of another to make a thread like this, as long as it doesn't already exist (no there wasn't been a "Stryker for MKX" thread yet, until this one) nor does any member need to interrogate another user in an open thread like this. If there is a problem, PM the user, or better yet, ignore them. But if you feel the need to PM me & tell me about your problem.

So after Jagged & Scott sees this, and likes it, i'll delete this post & Jagged's last post, and the only discussion we'll have here is about Stryker in MKX? Ok? Good. :coffee:

I haven't cared to play him since MK3, and even then his personality just felt off. I don't care for him in MKX if hes just going to be the "I am cop guy this is crazy" thing. Sorry Stryker fans dont hate me, just really want him not to be so bland if he is going to come back. On that if they were to make more interesting design wise sure bring him back.

It's all so very confusing.
Shrug, neat ideas but Cassis is doing the cop thing already (in my.opinion) and out of all the other characters they could bring to the table , I feel like Stryker would be a little wasteful. I just feel like most of the gameplay options that make sense for a cop style character are covered by various current characters and variations.

To me, aside fan service, I think kp2 should focus on bringing new styles and mechanics to the game. I'd like the kp2 characters to all feel very fresh and unique and not just copy and paste their respective kits from current roster members.

I was playing MK9 last weekend and given all the stuff in the media over the last two years the "police brutality" jokes are now pretty cringey. I'd rather leave him in the past or, you know. Cut those.
