How to do tier lists

Im tired of seeing the numerical tier lists this game cannot be decided by numeric tier lists as a lot of the characters are really fucking similar so here is how to make a tier list this also assumes a characters best variation is being used. Keep in mind this is in no particular order.

S tier
Predator
Raiden
Shinnok
Liu kang
Kung lao
Cassie
Quan cheesy
Tanya

A+ tier
Jax (arguably s but for now hes a+)
dvorah
Erron black
Sonya (also arguably s tier)
Tremor
Kitana

A tier
Kung jin
Scorpion
Sub zero
Ermac (arguably a+)
Reptile

B+ tier
Johnny
Ferra torr
Kenshi

B tier
Kano
Mileena
Jason

C tier
Jacqui
Takeda





Shit tier

I dont give a fuck about what people gonna say, the Johnny placement is about right until whiff issues are fixed. People not playing Johnny keep saying he's at the top of A+ and shit, and we all know that's bullshit. Just because we have some very good Johnny PLAYERS (emphasis on player) it doesn't make the character insane. It would be like putting Kitana on S tier just because Sonic wrecks them Kung Lao's with her - we know there's more to it than that.

I like your thinking, disagree with some placements (kotal, mileena) but thats semantics. In a game filled with viable characters and useful tools for EVERYONE, the best are those with the tools that work right. Number tier lists are overrated, because when you have a game filled with solid characters, it comes down to the player. I dont believe any character (except takeda) cant win because of his tools. For example raiden and predator. 2 very good characters but u cant say that one is definitively better than the other, thats up to how the player uses them. At least thats my 2 cents

why kotal and mileena? Where do you think they should go up or down? And goro and takeda i dont think are viable

I actually didnt even see goro.... Way down there... I dont really want to go into my reasons, mainly because i dont have hard facts to back me up. Just my opinion and experience playing.

Can we please refrain from posting more tier lists until after the next patch? You know, the first one that NRS will have actually had time to work with without having to worry about balancing between weekly $10k+ tournaments and DLC releases; the one that's imminent.

Basically I agree with a some of the grouping, with a few exceptions. But nobodies listings are 100% identical to mine so that makes sense. Only things I would "strongly" disagree with is that Liu is too high literally sitting between Shinnok and Lao, Kitana is too low, and a few more characters need to be with Jacqui and Takeda.

What I think has to change is your lettering. You have everyone in A tier and up outside of Goro, Takeda, and Jacqui. This isn't Tekken level balance lol. You know how good a character has to be to be considered A tier? There's no way possible characters like Reptile, Kotal, and Kenshi are A Tier. Just like there aren't 8 S Tier characters. An S Tier character is Kabal and Cyrax of MK9, or MMH of Inj. For example, in Injustice it is likely that MMH was the only S tier character, with Batgirl, Flash, Zod, and Aquaman being A+ Tier. Maybe one or two can also be considered S, but not all of them. By your lettering, you're basically saying 25 characters in this game, all except for 3, are either as good or better than Superman, Sinestro, and Bane were in Injustice. This would mean that characters like Kotal, Kenshi, Johnny, and Ferra/Torr can win fully stacked majors solo without having uphill battles when playing Lao's QC's, Predator's and Raiden's.

Depending on how big you think the gaps are between brackets of characters, it should be some sorting of that looks like-

S Lao, some other person or two
A+ Cassie, a few characters.
A Jax and a couple.
A- Kung Jin and a few.
B+ Ermac etc

B- Johnny etc
C Takeda and a few

D Solo Goro

It should be categorized more like that for a better idea of where characters are balanced. Unless you believe 25 characters are Superman level and up then that would be a completely different convo altogether lol.
