E3 is upon us! Today was a big day!

So, what did you think? Personally I'm super excited for The Division, Rainbow 6 and Uncharted 4. Shenmue 3 has already taken my money (as of 10 minutes ago). FF7 remake is also juicy, and Halo 5 looks like a blast.

Seems like a better time to be a gamer than ever, from indie titles, to tons of big AAAs, the availability of classic games, advent of affordable virtual reality, etc. There's literally something for everyone.

In any case, what are your reactions to E3 so far? Which games look the best? Anything that was underwhelming?

The only thing about procedurally generated games is that it's hard to have interesting, unique content. It's kind of the problem they're having with Elite: Dangerous -- there are tons of planets, but nothings particularly standout after you've seen a couple.

I agree; however have you seen all of the previews for the game so far? It seems the variety is actually pretty solid. The worlds I've seen don't look anything like eachother.

What do you do in No Man's Sky? They always show that you can fly to planets buy like... What for? What do you do on them? What's the gameplay like?

Microsoft already won this hands down imo.

That backwards compatibility announcement was AMAZING.

Also, the minecraft VR demonstration literally blew me away. It was the first "This is the future" moment I have had in a very long time.

FF7 Remake made me actually want to buy a ps4 tho. So many memories.

Tears fell out of my eyes and everyone in my family looked at me like I was crazy.

Worth it, I have waited and waited for the time I can finish the story of Ryo Hazuki. I hope they have sailors in this game too :DOGE

Literally waited months just for that MGSV trailer. It's pretty genius. Kojima's last trailer. His absence at E3. The Kojima Productions name being omitted from the logo. His inability to speak about his relationship with Konami. The song in the background is a lament to the dead. All these things fit in with the trailer's theme about taking away words and language to bring people down. What a clever bastard.

Everything else was not too mind-blowing. Looking forward to Rare's newest title. PS4 finally got a couple games. Mirror's Edge turned out to look pretty good. New Warzone ViDoc sold me on Halo 5.

Need more Mario Maker from Nintendo today.

This is going to be one of the best two years of gaming in my 30 years on this planet.

So far we had Bloodbkrne, Witcher, MKX, etc.

Now we have GOW, Uncharted, Fallout 4, MGS5, Doom, Halo 5, SFV, The Division, Dark Souls 3, etc.

Don't have much time to play games anymore but it's going to be fun. Hopefully the trend continues.

Backards compatibility? HoloLens? Fucking godlike.

Doom's graphics looked amazing and although I'm not really into shooters and probably won't play it it looked good graphically.

Also if you're not fucking hype for Cuphead you're a robot, that game looks insanely good. I'll be all over that shit in 2016. It's apparently going to break the Guinness World Record for the most number of bosses in a game with 30!

I'll probably give Mirrors Edge Catalyst a go too since I played the first one but we'll see.

This exactly. And when they showed off HoloLens I literally typed "THIS IS THE FUTURE" into the TYM Twitch chat when I saw it lol.

Elite controller was hype as well as backwards compatibility. Hoping for a breakout mode on warzone for halo 5. Dat 12 on 1 teabag. Heeeeheeee
