Video/Tutorial - Tempest New patch 50-55% percent 1 meter and safe set-ups

What I'm looking for is a way to safely get the tempest hat out at the end of a combo AND still be at advantage to throw out a normal, cause that'd be armour breaking/anti wakeup all day.
Have you tried ending a combo in b321 hat spin? Im not home until a few hours later, so i cant test it yet. It works for hattrick at least.

Cant do 2 hat spins in a combo, B321 into hat spin is unsafe to certain wakeups.
21 still seems like KLs go to knockdown, but you wont be able to make use of the anti wakeup hat midscreen. I basically want something like JC's nutpunch, but better.
 
Where is the video for the 2 midscreens? Highest dmg i seen you get off f23 is 40% not 50%. Also why upload dropped combos from practice mode? Why have online fights where you dont even use said combos. Im so confused :(

I don't even see any kind of attempt at diversity. B321 spin b321 ex spin... Drop x20 or however many times. Graphics for video kinda cool. Actual video? Not made for TYM. There's not ever a damage output on screen cause they're clipped out

Yup. Unfortunately, if you end a combo with b321~(call hat) you can't attack in time to stuff wake-ups. So far I'm unable to find a long enough knockdown to do that. Also, for those who don't know, you can't summon the hats at the end of the combo if you've used the hats during the combo itself (or to start the combo).

I've been having this issue as well what I've tried is ending a combo with B1,4 as its a hard knock down and leaves them right at your feet the problem is they don't stay down for long enough to throw the hat out and call it back to stuff wake ups.

But what I find does work a little better is if you cancel the B1,4 into hat toss. So cancel the first hit so B1 >DF2 it gives you slightly more time to apply Oki pressure from the hat however if they have meter it won't work regardless.

I think Lao hard knockdown a need to last just slightly longer. Than they do already.

im liking f14 as a ender more and more. An these combos work but they don't do 50% mid screen.
 
Signed up just to call this OP an idiot, not even testing your own combos for damage then posting videos where you drop them 90% of the time, what a waste.

Is it just me or the timing off f23, db1, f23 is really strict?

I haven't be able to combo off db1. I tried many times!

Also can you combo off 11db1 into another string or b324?

I've been messing around Tempest Lao a little bit lately, hat spin into F23 is a 5 frame link I think? Takes some practice to find the sweet spot but it can be done. Certainly easier than linking it into 44.
