How often do you get hit by X-rays online?

How often do you get hit by X-rays?
I have been playing USF4 since 7 years and I almost never get hit by any random ultras except it is either
- a hit confirmed combo that leads to an ultra
- a punish when I whiff a SRK for instance
- a well done ultra on reaction vs a fireball for instance
- a tricky setup which is hard to see / to block on time

but other than that I usually never got hit by any random ultras over the last 7 years. Maybe in less than 1% of the cases I got hit by
any of those random ultras because I was playing too reckless.
But in MKX from out of 1500+ games played I got hit 96%+ of the time by random x-rays and I only block / avoid them 4% of the time.
I am just asking this out of curiosity, does anyone else getting hit by random x-rays so often?
Or is it just me being a rly bad player getting hit by any of those?

Thanks for reading.

I wear a lead vest... Doesn't help...
It will very rarely help them win though...

I get hit every time. Fortunetly I usually have a big life lead and its a desperate waste of meter on my opponents part, and really the only way the could open me up for any sort of damage.

A lot.
Cause when I play people that are too unpredictable (so newbies) they randomly x-ray when I don't expect it.
Sometimes when I see they have full bars and never once use an EX special, then I do tend to just wait and block or knock them down and block as they like using it as a wake up attack.
But more often than not they do it completely random and I get hit with it.

Get on that hook
Because unlike almost every other FG with Supers, XRays don't cut into a huge LOL BLOCK MY ASS cinematic when you activate them.

In MK9, we call them "The Tom Brady Special"

D4->F2 = unblockable. Ice Clone = unpunishable.
Quite a lot. I don't think I've ever been hit with an X ray to close out a round or match when I'm sitting on breaker.

Usually, it's just desperation. Also, it's online, so take it with a proper helping of salt.

Every. goddam. time...

It's like
"oh, she has 3 bars of meter, I'll just wait and bait even though she's negative on block after everything"
**Opponent does 100 negative block strings on me**
"ok, I don't think she's going to use it, I think I can press a bu- **gets x-rayed** GOD DAMMIT I HATE EVERYTHING"

Yeah, being used to playing more advanced skilled opponents that use meter management including myself, I get hit by random x-rays when playing beginners, as I don't expect it in some some scenarios and it catches me off guard because I expect people to "break" use "enhanced specials" or save it for the next round for that matter.

It's the same with uppercuts in this game, as again I don't tend to use them unless there is a guaranteed read to land one in a combo situation or anti-air,etc, yet people keep throwing out random uppercuts that get me too:p

It has begun
I get hit by about 70% of them.

I think it's because of how random people tend to play online, as well as the fact that half decent players are expecting lots of breakers and EX-moves. Newbies generally consider X-Rays to be the "best move" of a character, when in reality it always was a waste of meter.

All the time, particularly against Scoprion players. Maybe it's just my experience but every time I play a Scoprion online it's like they're on LSD. Teleport, uppercut, jump teleport, leg takedown, random x-ray, upper cut and teleport some more...

All of this is done as fast as the player can physically do it. The worst part about the x-rays is that I know they're coming. As soon as they get 3 bars it's 100% guaranteed that it will happen in the next 10 seconds, or however long it takes them to realise "OMG X-RAY COMBO".

War God
I get hit with them every time. I can't count the amount of times I've been hit with liu kang's, scorpion's, raiden's, etc. If I don't get hit by them then I know I'm not doing my job right.

Sulfur

Winning feels better when you take a little damage
There has been times where someone wakes up, im blocking (expecting a random x ray) so they wake up blocking; 2 seconds later I'm still blocking and they do an x ray...

Tho I do get hit by them quite often; people use them in situations where it makes no sense lol.

LMAO, you pretty much summed it up for me too.

Thing is in USFIV there is a short cinematic before so you cna still block. In MKX tthere isn't a cinematic.

bw, i get hit a lot when trying to pressure on their wakeup. It is the easiest thing to mash in MKX, no timing needed, no motion. What surprised me the most is how quickly the losing players gets meter, so i see them starting a round without meter so i assume they won't get it especially when i'm beating their ass hard, but then SURPRISE.

Randoms online x-ray a lot. Other than that they usually don't because they want to meter wake up because they can't stand a 15% dmg knockdown game

In mkx I get hit by X-rays all the time because I am used to playing people who understand the concept of meter management and don't blow it on a super. I usually have to laugh because of obvious the person is mashing the triggers when they have full meter and I'm pressuring/combo-ing them.

THAT AND GOD DAMN UPPERCUTTS

I think it has more to do with the fact that x-rays are so easy to input as opposed to two qc motions plus a button or two half circles/circles plus a button. The cinematic part in SFIV doesn't really matter imo as its all in the frame data.

I also think it has to do with some of the unique tracking properties of some xrays. Kotal Khan's comes to mind, with his satellite tracking sunbeam from anywhere on the screen. lol

Spammer. Crouch walk hater.
I got hit so much by random xrays that I have developed my specific online tactic.

When a guy has full meter, I just d1 CONSTANTLY until he uses an ex or xrays in my block. I just stand there not moving FOREVER. And I have to say, I have blocked TONS of xrays doing this.
