There it is folks. Do you want to go forward with this? Sign up and participate, watch the streams, stream yourself, buy the Sub skin, promote it on social media, push for IGN and other websites to share the event, AND support your grassroots tournaments. This really isn't that hard to do considering how big MKX will be. Lets get on it.

ESL, Warner Bros., and NetherRealm spent a great deal of time researching and deliberating what would be best for an ONLINE league, culminating in a live finals. After months of meetings it was decided to go with the Xbox One for NA/EU for a variety of reasons, including:

Was it an easy decision to make? No. The casualty of the console war is a split audience and player base. We knew that any selection we made wouldn't please everyone.

Do I feel we made the best choice for an ONLINE league. Yes.

In regards to questions about 'Will we have PS4 and PC (outside of CIS/Russia) as options in the future?' Let's make it through Season 1 first.

The Sub-Zero Blue Steel Skin will be available across all platforms. Those purchases support the entire Mortal Kombat X Competitive Scene, no matter the platform ;)

Thank you for this thread and answering questions in the manner that you've been doing thus far @Clutch8. You're well spoken and clearly know what you're doing.

I don't have any questions myself but am glad to see this title be an ESL featured game. I've been watching ESL since SC2 and have enjoyed the inclusion of Hearthstone and the recently added NA/EU Heroes of the Storms matches. You guys do a lot for the growth of Esports and hope this community can do its part to continue that growth.

I appreciate this. I may have sounded rude but i really wasn't trying to. The problem is that in my country, the average pay is between 200-300 euros, and an Xbox One with MK X would cost me around 420 euros. I love the fighting game community and want to be a part of it, but i'm risking a lot of money buying an Xbox One just for this game and then maybe finding out a few months later that the Ps4 has been enabled for online cups.
Maybe now you understand my issue.
