Indiana: Home of Naptown Clutch and Godlike Saturdays

With MKX quickly approaching, I figured it was time to get a fresh Indiana thread going for matchmaking purposes. I want to also inform people of the various events that we currently have going on in the area.

In Indianapolis, we have two different events to speak of: our monthly Godlike Saturdays events and our annual regional Naptown Clutch event.

Godlike Saturdays (usually) takes place on the first Saturday of every month. It is held at Tilt Studios on the top floor of the Circle Center Mall in downtown Indianapolis. It hosts tournaments for Street Fighter, Marvel, King of Fighters, various anime games, and has some Tekken players as well. And, of course, Mortal Kombat.

Naptown Clutch is our annual regional tournament. Pretty much the same games as Godlike Saturdays, but with a much larger attendance. If I remember correctly, last year's Naptown Clutch had a total of 272 different players sign up across the board.

There are also weekly sessions at a local church on the outskirts of Indianapolis that take place every Sunday afternoon. Various games are played there, with the addition of Smash Bros.

I'm a member of a few different Indiana FGC groups on Facebook. So if you're a Hoosier and want in on some of these groups, let me know!

Wish we could set up some kind of a weekly for MKX. I have my own set up that I would willingly bring.

The weekly that we have at the Broadway UMC church is probably your best bet. The address is:

609 E. 29th St.

I think this guy I used to work with at my old job goes here for Smash. He said something about it being at a church. If we can get a steady group of MKX guys going I would willingly go every week!

I could come down from time to time. Depends on which Saturdays I have to work. I take Uber everywhere so I'll have to check the price from here to the venue.

Yeah Depends for me as well if I work that day or not. I am trying to free up my Thursdays this summer so I can go to GGA.

By the way, for the monthlies, are we going to be playing MKX on PS4? I wouldn't mind providing a set up.
I'll be playing the game on PS4, so I will definitely have my setup there every month. I'm not sure if Nolber has decided which console to use for Godlike Saturdays. I should talk to him about that.....

Cool just figured I would ask. I notice quite a few scenes are going with the PS4 so we would automatically have 2 there every month which is convenient.

From Lafayette here, this could be something I might be interested in checking out at some point. Only about an hour drive, maybe a little more.

WAR SEASON "THE WEAK EXPOSED!"
I'm from Elkhart on the northern tip of Indiana. We have quite the local scene here.. we meet up about once a month and everyone seems excited for MKX.

I'm looking into hosting tournaments as well..

My summer is going to be pretty free on weekends so I wouldn't mind making the drive a few times a month if we can get at least over 10 people for a session. I'd gladly bring my set up too.

Usually, the NRS games take place during the second half of the day. When Injustice was a regular game, it usually started around 6:00 pm or so.
I work 2 jobs, and Saturdays are usually the busiest. When it was Godlike Sundays I actually had a chance to come out there once in a blue moon, but now its like no chance in hell =/.

Anyone who wants to set up a day for sessions PM me. With ESL announcing this eSports circuit I want to seriously leve up and attend tournaments. Weekends work best for me. @EMPEROR PRYCE how many do you guys usually get for a weekly? I wouldn't mind make the drive up.

No one in the Fishers, Noblesville or Carmel area?[/QUOTE

I'm about 20 minutes from there. I want to get sessions in weeky if we can all meet. Godlike Saturdays is awesome but I need more offline practice than just once a month :(

Wow, had no idea there was anything local. I live in Greenwood and would love to play as much MKX as possible, let me know what to do next to get in contact, what more info, etc!
