That thread is to make predictions on who you will play and look back later to see if you stuck with your pre-release pick.

This thread is to classify the characters in the game with players who play them and update it as the game grows. So if you're having a problem against Goro, or need some Liu Kang experience, you can come to this thread and see who plays the character.

Completely different threads and this one can be of great use after release.

Yes I am well aware of it. However, I believe having a thread where one can easily search names for players of the same character could lead to helpful assistance to those who want to learn about the character either by online matches or streamed tournament footage.
