He was never portrayed as intelligent, and he's been a lizard man in game longer than he's been a regular human.

NRS is never going back to the human Reptile.

Starting with MK4, the MK team has been shifting the ninjas to much different designs than just "ninja" to better represent who they are. Outside of Scorpion, none of the MK ninjas are actually ninjas.

IMO, it's much better than just bam, lizard disguised as a human.

Yeah, but I wouldn't reply with, "I now have a quarrel with you" after I said the opposite and not in that voice. Kung Lao almost sounds happy saying it. The dialogue is too scripted and does not display genuine feeling. It's just not believable, like they ran out of ideas or something. Quan's intro with Kano is more of what they should be striving for.

I'm pretty sure that's tounge-in-cheek and he's saying it as a half joke. If so, it's a sign of NRS stepping their dialouge up to feature-movie-level and giving the personalities more depth.

That was a lackluster release. Didn't see much from either character. It was basically showing off special moves but nothing to do with combos except one Reptile combo.

Cool to have Reptile back, I guess... But they kinda blew a chance to really show two fan favorites going at it.

I am very excited about this. I don't think they showed Reptile in his best light as far as what he can do. I feel like this is obviously an early version of him and that is why he looks and feels so MK9. I love that his dash is back and it looks like we will have a lot of fun playing force ball mind games. #Reptile4Life (Literally, because he is tattooed on my leg)
