Because literally half of the cast has not been revealed. So we don't know. Just because it's not in a reveal trailer does not mean its not in the game.

MK 9 : 32 characters, which 7 of them are females
Injustice : 30 characters , which 8 of them are female

So, if MKX , starting with 24 characters in initial roster, just presents at least 5 females characters, that's good enough

With DLC, if the numbers rise to 7-8 female chars in the final , nobody will not have any reason to complain about it

I think it kind of sucks that people would whine until they pressure NRS. I don't have anything against female characters, I play Kitana, but I didn't see any reason to complain about female characters when we only had 10 characters revealed and 2 of them were female, and one of the other 8 is "half" female.
What I dislike is wondering if the reveal would be the same if people were not complaining.

you need to look at whole women characters thing as a FGC thing rather than a social issue. its about offering variety so someone has a higher chance to find "their" character because nothing sucks more than not being able to find a main. as i guy who pretty much plays only males, its the reason i cant play Skullgirls

Hopefully they don't "lighten" her up. I don't know why that's a thing but I've seen fighters give darker skin character lighter skin tones in later games it just seems so pointless.

What are you even talking about? Not only has NRS never done this, they've never even given a reason to believe, assume, or consider it.
