Look I'm here to seek genuine advice on this topic. I'm a freshman in highschool and today I was trick-or-treating with my friends. The girls that I was hanging out with saw this football player guy that they knew and started talking to him. He's one of those guys that says the rudest things, yet still gets the attention of girls. So while he's talking about, "which girl wants to suck my dick" and other stuff like that I'm just standing there waiting for the girls to leave with me. They don't. After a while, he starts picking on my ethnicity (Asian). The way he said it was like, "Hey are you good at math??" and pull his eyes. And just as I get mad, he would hug me and be like, "yeah we're friends" and other stuff like that. So my question is, "What would you do in this situation?"

Yeah I'm not depressed about it or anything. I am proud of my race. But at that moment, I didn't know what to do. Should I verbally curse him off? Should I smile and let it slide? Should I punch him?

Do not let this boy push you around. This man believes he can freely exert his status as an "alpha male," by belittling you and others because these girls fear/view him as high on a pecking order. If he says shit like that give him a sarcastic answer.

Don't backdown if you wanna impress these girls, push him off(non-confrontationally) and tell him "actually i don't really know you man" something which isn't assaulting him but more establishing yourself as a strong individual. Don't let him impose fear on you, and if you really have to bust out some of that patented KUNG FU(just kidding.) But for the love of god don't let him touch you...

In regards to the girls, it wouldn't be a bad idea to let him know that's not cool in someway in front of them. The best way to say something would be to say something like "Hmmm, good pickup line man... or should i try saying that one..."... resorting to banter which refers to his penis might start a fight and being confrontational isn't cool.

But seriously, don't let that shit fly, not cool mang... atleast my advice.

Yeah I think this was the best advice I could be given. Thx. Tbh, now that I think about it, it's kinda like talking to girls. At first I get nervous, but then I get used to it. I want to change my reaction to racist guys like him. Thank you for the advice

It's a tough situation because I mean he's outright bullying you but he seems to play it off making it tougher to confront. If he, or anyone for that matter, pulls that shit again though I would tell him to piss off. Dropping smartass comments like peckapowa said is a pretty good way that's not quite as confrontational as something like 'how about you shut the f@&! up' but hey I'm a confrontational person. If you're witty then play his own words against him, and if he throws the first punch then you're good to retaliate. I wouldn't outright punch him for his comments since it might get you in trouble.

Edit: The TRULY best response is probably to completely ignore him so he doesn't get a rise out of you, but you have to be pretty calm person to pull that off.

Thank you for understanding the situation I'm in. Really both yours and Peckabpowa's advice are helpful to me. I know one thing for sure. I am determined to never let a guy slide with saying something like that. Thank you for the advice

Yeah man young kids, and even adults have a tough time being comfortable in their own skin... and that's why high school can be kind of messed up... because kids actually don't have a lot of self-esteem so they are always using other kids to elevate their own. If you can be a person who establishes himself and is confident but doesn't walk on others then you'll over all be better than a lot of other kids and girls might see it. I'll be honest i've looked back on situations with regret, there was one kind who i wasn't all that afraid of but i didn't want to get kicked out of private high shcool so i just ignored him... in reality with my maturity level now i would have been able to rip him to shreds non-violently. I would honestly practice these scenarios out in my head if i were you. But make it so it doesn't really get to you because you'll be overall stronger because of it... if people get to you easily then it's kind of a sign of weakness.

Look it's not like I'm a loser or anything. I'm very popular within my school and I'm absolutely having a blast in my highschool. And this is the absolute truth. Yeah I have a lot of confidence. But you didn't really answer my question. If you were in my situation, what would you do?
